You’ve chosen a great location to have your wedding, Maui and Kauai are fabulous! Just beautiful, I’ve been there several times just to visit friends. So you’re on the right track as far as location! Hope everything works out for you! Happy Planning!

My cousin got married on a cruise that left New York Harbour for Bermuda.   About 35 of us got on the boat for the wedding and then they left for their honeymoon. It wasn’t Hawaii but it was still very nice!  Also, extremely stress free for the couple.

Before you commit to anything, check what the cancellation policies of any on-island services are. You wouldn’t want there to be bad weather and for the ship to reroute on your wedding day and for you not to be able to get to the wedding. The cruise line terms of service say that they can change ports for nearly any reason, and they do not have to compensate you in any way for whatever you may have been planning to do (unless you planned your services through the boat). Probably the odds of this happening are slim when we’re talking about Hawaii and not the hurricane-prone Caribbean, but it’s definitely something to look into.

As a concept though, I think getting married on a cruise sounds great! You get a vacation and your wedding all in one. I have been on two cruises and I can’t wait to go on another. They are my favorite type of vacation.

We are doing this and getting married while we are in the Cayman Islands. We are going through a travel agent and they are going to set up everything for us. I think its going to be better in the long run considering we are going to have a decent amout of people. Good luck!
