Two weeks ago I posted my dress and how it need to be taken in on the sides and what not..I went back today and the seamstress took in the problem areas but there is still something "off"..like the top is crooked or something..doesn't matter..I pick it up 8/17 and that is it...I'm so upset...I feel like I totally picked the wrong dress :(
I think it looks a little big on the outside of the boobs if that makes sense? Like there is too much fabric. I'd ask her to fix it but I'm having the same problem as you!
I don't know what you are seeing, because I think it looks incredible!!! Wow!!! You look fabulous in it. :)
I guess I don't see what you're seeing...because I think it looks BEAUTIFUL! But I'm sure if you told her something else to fix that it'll be fine by the 17th! Don't worry, these fixes don't actually take that much time, they make us wait forever because they have other stuff to do. If you still don't love it when you go back, tell her and make her take care of it before your wedding. It's going to be gorgeous!
I agree.. I think it would look better if there was less fabric.. or both sides of the boob were cut the same way? It's kinda like a sharp edge on the inside and then really round on the outside...
I hope that makes sense.
For what it's worth, the problem is hard to see (as in, I'm not quite sure I can see it at all) so it won't likely jump out at anyone but you.
I think you look beautiful. The only suggestion would be to center the "v" directly between the girls as it seems shifted a little off-center.
Lol! I only wish I could look like that in my dress! You look great! No matter what you wear- its your wedding day!! You will be glowing!
I feel like you have the dress on a little bit crooked. Have you tried it on again since?
if u hadnt said anything abt it not fitting right i would think it was fabulous.. but only cos you mentioned it i was looking for somthing wrong..
i think u look great in the dress and shouldnt worry at all
Thanks girls..
The reason I think I feel like it is crooked is because I got a discount because I bought a much bigger size..I sort of feel like when they took it in, it got more lopsided..my friend who came with me said it looks fine..
I was with the seamstress today for a half hour and didn't know how to voice my thoughts on it..because in person it looks fine but pictures straight on its funky
I don't know..I just wish I never bought it..
I think yo look great in it!! Its really flattering and makes your waist look so tiny! ....but if you want to be REALLY picky, the last picture doesnt looked centered, but I think thats just the picture cause its a closeup and b/c of the way your body is slightly angled to the camera.
Yeah..the last picture I am taking the picture myself so my one arm is up...I don't know....I just always envisioned going into my wedding LOVING my dress and I dont' feel that way so that's even more upsetting....i like the side shots so maybe i can tell the photographer to do more of those and not full on frontal shots..I just don't know...this isn't how I pictured going into my wedding though..
Ok, your waist looks AMAZING in that dress. For that matter, the whole dress looks great on you! I have to scrutinize to see the bodice problem. WHO will be staring at your boobs for five minutes straight during the wedding? I agree that it looks a LITTLE offkilter; I bet a different bra and some dress tape (to arrange and hold the bodice just where you like it) would do wonders.
I would work really hard to get the nerve to call your seamstress and explain what exactly you don't like about the dress. I'm sure she will fix it!
I think you look beautiful! You did not pick the wrong dress at all.
I went back and read your previous post and saw you were worried about looking chesty. I agree that you should bring up your concerns with the seamstress.
I also suggest that you make sure to angle yourself every so slightly in your photographs. In the first photograph where you are straight on, I notice the chestiness a little bit (I did have to read your previous post though to figure out your concern). But in your third photograph, where you're angled just a bit, you look stunning and the effect totally disappears. That's how professional models stand because it is so flattering! Look at pictures of actresses on the red carpet---they always put their body at a bit of an angle because it looks so good. You look that good too.
I think your dress looks great and I don't see what you're talking about. I can relate though because I'm going through a similar thing with my dress (I love the dress but something doesn't feel quite right, everyone says it looks great). From the pics I think it looks awesome and really shows off your figure.
Its just a tad bit too large around the boob sides. Ask her to take that in a smidge and it will be perfect.
*you look AWESOME in this dress!*
Hmm... honestly, I can't see it! You look really lovely in it.
I love your dress and I think you look beautiful!
I also think that there is too much fabric on the outsides of your boobs. I see it because I had a dress that i had the same problem with I ened up getting a new dress (the body of your dress is much nicer than mine).
Try calling your seamstress and see what she thinks maybe you can go back in within the next week and she can fix it.
I think you look incredible! I'm sorry you are feeling that way but IMHO you look perfect!!!
You look AMAZING!
I think the straps look different thicknesses but that's really the only part that I can see that needs fixing!
I hope that the seamstress can do whatever needs to get done so that you LOVE your dress!
I think you look beautiful! That is an incredible dress and very flattering to your (awesome) figure. I agree that it is a little big on the sides of your boobs... maybe take the straps up a bit, too? Also, if you feel like your seamstress isn't achieving your vision, don't be afraid to take your dress elsewhere!
Do you know how many women at your wedding will be totally envious of how stunning you are?! Wow! Don't be upset, you look amazing! I promise you, no one will notice anything wrong with your dress. The dress is gorgeous, but honestly, the first thing I noticed in your pictures was how happy you looked. That's what all of your guests will see, not some nearly invisible flaw in your wardrobe!
Be happy!! =]
This is why I'm a bit scared of my alterations.
But honestly, you look beautiful! And you look HAPPY, too!! It's a gorgeous dress and it compliments you!
If you're not happy with it, I would voice that to the seamstress, just tell her something doesn't seem to fit right. I think the first pictures it looks fine and not crooked, maybe it just shifted in the last picture--it seems like you could turn it to center it with it already on you.
I hope this all works out for you :)
I'm not one to kiss ass...so normally I don't give my opinion. But honestly, it looks fine...I don't see anything wrong and it looks great.
Hmm... I don't see a problem at all! In fact, your dress is exactly what I was looking for (and never found): v-neck and layered bottom... it's gorgeous on you! Sorry, maybe that doesn't help... but I think you look stunning!
Call me crazy but I don't see anything wrong with it at all. I think it is perfect!!
Okay, this may seem like a strange suggestion, but it looks like it's almost making your boobs TOO smooshed in - like the top panels should be thinner. Could your seamstress make the v a little wider, take some fabric out of the sides, and maybe put in a (sheer) modesty panel instead?
Thanks girls..your kind words mean alot! I guess it doesn't help I am overly self critical. So I did call (and I'm waiting for a call back from the seamstress). I want to go in one more time and just make sure there is nothing else that can be done and address the concerns with the straps and the fabric that is loose now!
No more tears...my fiance has been amazing in comforting me and told me he will love however I look.
: )
I agree with the previous poster who mentioned centering the 'v' of the dress over the girls since it seems to have shifted. Other than that, it's good to go. Did you go to Bra Tenders to get your undergarments? They do make a difference. Good luck, you dress is tres chic!
You look absolutely amazing but you have to feel amazing. Please don't settle. I was in tears after my last fitting which was supposed to be my final. The seamstress had no clue what the issue was so my wedding consultant stepped in an offered some suggestions. Well I went back last night and I love the way it came out. I am so happy that I didn't just go away and asked them to fix it, even if they thought I was crazy.
Yeah I think it's because you purchased the biggere size the breast area looks too large. You can see if she can shape it differently somehow. The rest of the dress is perfect.
I have to be honest—I don't see any problem areas and I think you look stunning! :) But what is most important is how you feel, so don't be afraid to speak up and get it just right.
You look beautiful! Also, I think your smile looks very happy too! But I agree with the other commenters, maybe taking it on the sides of the bust will help.
You look stunning! I say with the money you spent on a dress, you can definitely go and ask for suggestions to maybe better figure out what it is you don't like... That said, I think you look gorgeous!
