There maybe some way to manipulate those strechy crystal bracelets to make this.

You could get some sort of a tube, and cover it with crystals. Or, you could embellish a piece of fabric to wrap around your bouquet?
Goodluck, and please update us with your project- I've never seen this done before!
how about a paper towel tube (the cardboard at the center of the paper towels)? you can cut it down to the length you need, cover it in white, silver, etc. colored paper, and then glue rhinestones. if you google rhinestones there are a TON of places to get "crystals" like the ones on your inspiration photo. just an idea!
Check with your florist on what he/she suggest. You dont want to make something and then it wont be able to be used or it needs to be altered at last minute
My suggestion would be to glue the crystals to color-coordinating fabric. That way, you can leave an edge on either side for fastening. Like 1/4" on one side and maybe an inch on the other, that way when the entire piece is wrapped around the stems, it has a little 'adjustablilty.' (I'm pretty sure that isn't actually a word!) You can bring the two flaps together and pin it all the way up the side with matching rhinestone pins.
that's really pretty! I hope you can make it. The suggestion you have so far seem pretty good. YOu can also by rhinestones or crystals on rope or ribbon that may work for you as well.
Good luck!
For you ladies that wanna spend $150 on this bouquet and have it done right the website is http://www.jem-ma.com/crystalbouquetholders.htm
If you would like to do it yourself cheaper...I would recommend buying the thick rhinestone braclets and glueing them onto a tube. I have the bracelet at home and it was too big for the toilet paper tube, so you would have to put two tubes together and cut slits in the sides and then glue them on to hold the tubes tight. Here is the link to someone on e-bay that sells the braclets for $12.99 a piece. You would need to order 4
