Hi,

Here is a thread on the topic. I am not a DIYer but it was pretty easy for me. I brought my crystals from Michaels. I used crystazzi brand. They are not Swarvorski, but they are crystals. I used a pair of tweezers and E6000 glue.

I did my own shoes:

Before

After

@paulajmc4: I don’t remember how many crystals that I brought. Sometimes Michaels has coupons and sales so that may help with the price.

The shoes:

I found at DSW, Martinez Valero, regular $170 for 49.99 plus a discount and free shipping! They are 4 inches with a platform. (I had to use more crystals because of this)

The crystals:

Michaels, reg. $3.99 per pack. Sometimes there were sells for buy one get one half off/free. Sometimes there were coupons for 40/50% off.

Gule:

$3.49 a pack. I used about 3 of these.

All together, I think I spent around $150-175 on the shoes. Which is great considering that crystal encrusted shoes usually cost hundreds or thousands of dollars in stores!

@paulajmc4: I’m glad I could help. I forgot to mentioned that I used tweezers to place the crystals on the shoes.

I love the shoes and plan on doing the same for my wedding. I wish you could make them look more like diamonds and less like silver though. My dress is a mega white cinderella style ball gown. I think the silver will clash with it.   if you are looking for super cheap shoes to do this project on go here http://www.amiclubwear.com/shoes-heels.html?sorttype=0&size=3&page=5   they have the peep toe platforms and slingbacks under $30  actually these are $12.99  http://www.amiclubwear.com/shoes-heels-af-besimawhite.html

these are the babies I want! Unfortunately my budget wont allow such a shoe :0(
