We're getting married Labor Day weekend (9/5) and we're in the process of checking out places to take pictures. Our church is in Westchester and our reception will be in a hotel in downtown Stamford. The waterfront in that area is pretty industrial (factories, barges, etc.) so it's really not an option.

Any suggestions on parks, campuses, beaches, really pretty places, etc. to take pictures? We're thinking something like Greenwich, Cos Cob, Riverside… any ideas ladies? I'm not from the area so any ideas would really help.

    Thanks! :)

I've seen some really cool pictures in downtown SoNo (south norwalk), it's a small strip of cute shops.  Then there's Todd's Point in Greenwich, it's a pretty beach.  And Binney Park is very pretty with a pond in Old Greenwich.  If I think of anything else I'll let you know!

Thanks LovestheBear! Haha - everyone suggests Binney park but our photographer says she's shot there before and hates it. She'll go if we insist but asked us if we have any other ideas as well?

SoNo's awesome, I wonder if it's too far from Stamford though? Someone suggested Bruce Park, it's supposedly right off I-95, we might look there too. Ever heard of it?

THere are three parks down there, Binney, Bruce and Byram park. All are lovely and would be great for photos. Perhaps if your photographer doesn't like Binney, try one of the others?

I would definately try Byram park though. It is right on the water, easily accessible and there is a cute gazebo too! Check it out.

Cool! Thanks Penguingal - we liked Bruce Park so that's still in the running - it has some pretty cool rock formations too that might look great in the background. I've never heard of Byram Park. We'll def. look into it!

i'm with penguingal06 - byram park is very nice!  greenwich and stamford both have nice areas as well - check out this website for local beaches: http://www.lisrc.uconn.edu/coastalaccess/searchr.asp

Not sure if you are still looking at locations for pics, but if so I would recommend Tilley Pond Park in Darien, Waveny in New Canaan or Cranbury Park (Gallaher Mansion) in Norwalk.

    Good Luck!
