First and Last Tavern? Its technically in Hartford, but Wethersfield line so its not downtown Hartford. They have their own lot and street parking isnt usually an issue. And there is a lot across the street for a bakery that is probably available at night.
Its Italian food, which I dont normally care for, but I like their wide variety of foods ebcause its not traditional fried and add cheese Italian food. Its real food with nice atmosohere and good prices. Awesome bread!
If you're into Asian Sake could be a fun good pick. Humphrey's also has a private sapce and is American bar food. There is also the Saybrook Fish house which is in Rocky Hill. Pazzo is also delish that's in Rocky Hill as well.
If you're willing to move into the Glastonbury area you would have quite a few more choices.
@mwitter80: Thanks for the suggestions!! What would you reccomend in Glastonbury? I'm open...just concerned for the wallet. Plus, a group of 40-60 seems to be too big for a lot of places out there I looked at...
@jules8667: ooh 40-60 people is a large group. What actually may work best for you is this place called the Pond House. They have a venue in West Hartford, but just took over Tango in Glastobury. They actually have a large space inside of their restaurant as well some banquet spaces in an attached building. This sounds like it would be perfect for you.

Elizabeth's restaurant in Rocky Hill has a private room that's big that you can use. They are reasonably priced too. Best of luck!

Hello Bees,
Does anyone from central Connecticut have any suggestions for a good rehearsal dinner spot in Rocky Hill or Wethersfield?? I will have 40-60 guests, and I would like to stay at $30/plate, if possible. Not a big steak crowd. Ethnic/interesting is great. MUST be high quality food!!!
I would like to avoid Hartford, as parking is a nightmare on the weekend.
