@Vivasevilla804:  Wow that minimum is crazy!  That’s almost the cost of our entire wedding ($38K … kills me every time I think about it).

@Vivasevilla804:  Ooo I have tons of info for you! It might be easier if I email because then I can attach the documents that I received from them.

@Vivasevilla804:  I just looked and I have venue info for Amarantes, Madison Beach Hotel, and Saybrook Point Inn. I also have a couple other suggestions that FI and I looked at in the area.

Honestly I don’t think I contacted Longshore because of the minimum and I had heard…less than great things about Anthony’s.

@Vivasevilla804:  I’m just starting to plan myself, but I can tell you that those venues during summer may wind up getting kind of pricey. Waterfront venues can be pretty in-demand for weddings, so that drives the cost up. We’re planning to get married in Fall of 2015, but we’re probably going to avoid anything directly on the coastline if possible because of price.

FI has been to several after-work events at Anthony’s. Each time he has loved the food and has been impressed with the service (and he says that the actual facility is really nice too).

Other than that, I don’t have much advice. Hopefully someone else can help (and I’m really hoping that places haven’t booked a lot yet for 2015; FI and I can’t start planning our wedding until the spring)!
