I have recently joined forces with another recent bride to start wedding planning/DOC. If you are interested, drop me an email and we can chat. naomiperk@yahoo.com
We were both very much DIY brides and decided to join forces to help others after we realized how much we loved planning our own weddings!

I would recommend - Sara True with True Events - www.trueevent.com
I do catering and have worked with her often. She is meticulous down to every detail. She wants it all to be right just for your day. It is really nice to see someone make sure that your vision is carried out.
She isn't afraid to be direct in what needs to be done, and that is good sometimes - like when you want everything perfect for your wedding day.
She usually works with higher end brides and I’m not sure what your budget is, but it would be worth looking into.
I know someone who is great and is based in the Glastonbury area. If you are interested in her contact info, PM me :)

Has anyone used a great planner either based in CT or available to work in the NYC/CT area?
I have come to the realization that at the very least, I'm going to need a DOC. More likely, someone to handle things for the last few months while I study for the bar exam, which I am taking only 2 weeks before the wedding.
