After receiving a few devastating flower quotes I’ve decided to do non-floral centerpieces. At this point I’m pretty set on using the cupcakes we planned on serving (instead of cake). I’m invisioning elegant tiered stands in the middle of each table with cupcakes decorated to match our colors. While my cupcake vendor is all for it, they unfortunately do not have enough small stands for our wedding (we need 20). I’ve found a few possibilities online, but was wondering if anyone could recommend some inexpensive, but centerpiece-worthy cupcake/cake stands…or if perhaps someone knows how to DIY.

Thats a great idea. I seen some cupcake stand at micheals, jo ann’s, and I also seen some at Ross, and Marshalls. Good luck

That’s a great idea! I would look on ebay or craigslist. If you’re using a DOC, ask if they have anything that might work. When I mentioned cupcakes to my DOC, she said she had a couple stands we could use.

I second the ebay search. Someone may have some leftover from their wedding that you can buy! (CUTE idea BTW)

I am doing the same for mine! I went to wilson’s and they had some or I found this site
They look like flower arrangements! I am sure you could change them up alittle to what you need but still a really cute idea and super easy!

That is a great idea!! I think a similar idea in real simple weddings book, where they had different flavored mini cakes as a centerpiece!!
Here is a website on how to make your own stand:

Here is pictures of people who made their own stands!!!
