I didn't book anything yet but this is what i found from 'cupcakes actually' in Fairfax: 

"Our stand rental is $50 and the set up fee is $75.00.  These are all services that are offered only, with no obligation to use any  of them.  We offer a 15% discount on cupcakes, if you book at the time of the tasting/consult (with a 50% deposit).  If the cupcake isn't on the menu, you can order it, as long as you're ordering a minimum of 24, unless you pick a seasonal cupcake."

I might want to check in with Crumbs also now that there's a location open in Clarendon. 

I ended up ordering my cake from Edibles Incredible in Reston, but felt a strong need to still have something smore or cake pop related.  Enter Carla's Cupcakes....

This woman is fabulous and her treats are tasty, the customized a chai cake pop for me and made super awesome mini smore cupcakes that I had as favors.  Not only did she decorate the treats themselves, but she packaged them and they were gorgeous! She even put the stickers on for me! $2/piece.
