Instead of the flower/butterfly topper - we are using this, and the cupcakes will have coarse sugar sprinkled on them:

I love those photos of inspiration, especially since you still get the top tier to either be able to cut into or to be able to save for your one year anniversary! I hear that the cupcake cakes are really budget friendly, too.
I'm doing cupcakes. I don’t have a picture but i have stands that hold 13 cupcakes. Each stand will go at each table as my centerpiece. This way I don’t have to do Flower centerpieces and I don’t have to get a huge cake as well. This was a great way to save on budget.

We doing cupcakes. I have a beach theme so I really want starfish and seashells on top. Our colors will be a little different.

I have tons of different inspiration pics as I have no idea what I want just yet. What's your color/theme? Oh and we're doing a cutting cake on top so that we can use the topper I bought on it. We picked cupcakes because I couldn't find a buttercream cake that I loved the design for and FI hates fondant (I love it!).
We are having cupcakes because we are having a cocktail reception so we thought that cupcakes would be much easier. Imagaine this :
But with white coloured cupcakes- they will alternate between lime and coconut flavour with bright orange icing with a fuschia heart on top, and lemon, white choc & rasberry with fuschia icing with bright orange heart on top. The swirls on the top cake will be orange and fuschis and will have hearts in amongst it in fuschia and orange similar looking to these hearts:
