I wouldn’t tell him.  It will still be a surprise to see the ring in person and I am sure will look even more beautiful in person!  I think he would be dissapointed to know that you know so much about it.  Just sit back and know you’ve got a wonderful ring coming 🙂

Keep it a secret.  He’s obviously wanting to surprise you, so don’t spoil it for him.  And congratulations – how exciting!

@BlissfullyBlessed:  Oh no!  But don’t beat yourself up – even though you know these details, you can’t be absolutely certain when he’ll propose, so there’s still some surprise left for you.

Only you can decide whether to tell him, but I doubt it would get a favourable reaction this side of the proposal…

Yeah, definitely don’t tell him. But I will say one thing, looking at drawings and reading about details will be totally different from seeing it for the first time in PERSON, sitting in its box at the hand of your boyfriend as he kneels down onto one knee. 🙂 No more snooping though!! I hope you don’t have to wait too much longer to see it in person!

I would not tell him. Let him have this. And I can tell you that the ring looks so much more stunning in person even if you have seen the stock photo or some kind of rendition. nothing compares to seeing it in person. During ring shopping there were rings that I had seen in pictures online that just looked completely different in person. You will still be shocked when you see it in person even if you know what it looks like in a CAD drawing because its just a whole different experience seeing it right in front of you. So take this one to the grave and look forward to your upcoming proposal from the man of your dreams 🙂

Take it to the grave definitely. And you might still be surprised by the proposal date, in my experience men are a bit slower and getting organised and doing things than women! xx

The same thing happened to me! I saw the CAD drawing of my ring when he left his e-mail open one day.  I never told him.  I think he would have been upset that the surprise was ruined and would have waited longer to propose.  However, seeing the ring in person for the first time still took my breath away!  I literally gasped. I don’t feel that it ruined the surprise at all.  It did give me the reassurance though that a) he was close to buying me a ring and b) that I actually would like what he picked out.  Just don’t get too impatient!  After seeing the CAD drawing, it took three AGONIZING months for my fi to propose.  It turns out that it took that long for the ring to be made =)  It was all worth it in the end.

You already knew there was a ring coming so it’s not like you ruined the surprise!  He might be holding on for a special occasion so don’t get too antsy!!!

Ooh try not to beat yourself up over it. But don’t tell him you know any details as it will just upset him and he has tried to keep it a surprise.

I know the ring is in my house, and I know what it looks like because we designed it together, and it is driving me nuts but I havent snooped yet… but if he keeps me waiting much longer I dont know how my self control will go!

Don’t tell him! It might postpone things as he tries to recreate a feeling of surprise. Which would drive any sane person crazy, AmIRight?
