I’m not sure but I’d call the doctor! You have to have it removed by your obgyn and it probably causes some spotting and/or bleeding upon removal. Plus doesn’t it take time to get out of your system? You may need to go off it like 3 months before if you plan on actively trying on your honeymoon. If you’re even ovulating at that time. My concern with having it removed RIGHT before the wedding is the suddenly lack of hormones and the lack of adjustment period. And the bleeding =

I had the mirena removed on a Wednesday – a Condom broke on a Friday – I was pregnant immediately.

Unfortunately because I am a high risk pregnancy I miscarried, but my doctor was sure it was not a side effect of the mirena as I had miscarriages long before the mirena and my son was 13 weeks premature.
