I use the Babybliss Pro BABHS40 hot rollers and I love them!
You can roll your hair when it's damp too and the curls come out so pretty. I also use Moroccan oil my hair. It leaves my hair super soft and shinny.
This is what I do to get this look:
I section straight across from the top of my left ear to the right ear. I take four sections and curl away from my face with a 2 inch curling iron.
Then i section of the top of my hair starting at the top of my eyebrows... take 8 sections and curl away from my face on each side.
Then take the top and curl everyting forward (towards my face) in 4 sections.
After that, you can shape it the way that you want. Works for me!

My hair is naturally wavy and sounds a lot like you hair type! The good thing is it can hold curl well =) anyway I use a curling iron for curls like this and use rollers for wider looser curls... I suggest hair spray from a salon that way you won't have to use much at all and your hair can move still without looking like it's rock hard.
@squeak: I use a little bit of hair spray, no particular brand.
@MIBEETOWED: I love your hair! I'm trying to grow mine out and I feel like its growing oak fully slow!

I like to divide my hair in sections, and wrap my hair around the curling iron instead of actually putting it in the clamp. Once it is wrapped, you want the iron to point upwards. Hold for a few seconds with your fingers toward the top (be careful not to burn it). The pics above are two of my bridesmaids, who taught me how to do it.
The best curls I ever get are with a flat iron. You can find tutorials on how to do it online, or ask your hairdresser. They stay all day, through to the next day usually. You can control how curly/ wavy you want your hair to be with how you use the flat iron (size of sections of hair, how fast/ slowly you pull the iron through). It also only takes 5-10 minutes; curling irons and rollers always take me much longer. I use a 1 3/4" HAI brand--love it!

Hi bees,
I've been looking for a way to create pretty curls in my hair. I have fairly long hair and it's already a bit wavy, but it can get pretty frizzy if I comb it (which is usually why I have to lather a ton of conditioner in it to detangle it after a bath). I wash it about once every 3-4 days. I would like a look with bigger curls/waves that just looks cleaner and prettier. I like a cute/sweet look. I've tried straight but it's just too hard to maintain even with perm straightening, my hair doesn't like to stay that way, and it just looks too dull. I've tried to research and just want something simple and reliable. Do any of you use hot curlers? Ceramic or foam? Is there any particular brand you like? What other products do you use and how often? Any advice is greatly appreciated.
