There’s a salon in New York City that does curly hair (and only curly hair). It’s called Ouidad. They do a carve and slice technique to cut hair. I have really curly hair that my fiance loves so I thought wouldn’t it be cool to get my haircut there? Then I looked at prices. Um, that’s going to have to wait ’cause I’m paying for a wedding. Then I saw a link that said “Want to be a hair model?” What? Hair model? What’s this all about? A free haircut by a licensed stylist who wants to be certified in the Ouidad technique? Sure, sign me up. Then I got a phone call to schedule an appointment. So far so good. I mean, FREE HAIRCUT!!! Awesome. The day of, I thought this is crazy – who does this? I’m going to let some stylist in training cut my hair? Well I did! I received a free haircut AND deep conditioning. It came out great. So if you’re in the New York City area and willing to be a hair model I say go to the website and sign up.
