Hello Curly Bee’s!
I have long brown 3b hair. I have seen a lot of hair styles where the hair is curled with some kind of device. I don’t want that, I would rather leave it natural but I am having problems finding any cute down or half up/half down styles.
Normally I wear my hair down and natural with no product but I will wear gel or moose once in a while.
Any Bee’s out there with any trial pics or actual wedding hair do’s?

Bah! I’m no help but in the same predicament (but a 2C to 3A depending on weather and local climate) and would love to see other’s photos!!

Here are the inspiration pics I’m bringing to my trial. We’ll see how it actually turns out though 😛
(this one I would do without the bun, so that its half up/ half down and sideswept)
I have no idea what “type” of curl I have. Do your hairdressers tell you this? This is my hair done naturally (put in a bun and hairsprayed when soaking wet, then let out to air dry):

@mandypop: I really like the second pic with the flower. I am not having a veil so it just may work. I figured out my curl type at naturallycurly.com. It has some great tips and a huge gallery.

@MrsKittyMt: ahhh! cool! Im a 2C/3A
I’m not wearing a veil either – my mom doesn’t want me to cover up my hair 😛
I ordered a really pretty pearl and feather fascinator from etsy instead.
I also feel really strongly about not having it overstyled – Its been 11 years and I still remember all too well when I went with friends to get my hair done for prom… ended up SOBBING in the bathroom while my mom took out the 90593854 bobby pins and tried to un do the teased/frizzy beehive clusterf&*% the lady created on my head – while my very patient boyfriend waited downstairs. Never again!!

@MrsKittyMt: That is very pretty, and my hair – which is also naturally curly – was done similar to that on my wedding day. I did it myself. However, I do want to point out that that woman has definitely had her hair curled with a curling iron of some sort (probably a spiral) and then sort of teased out.
I agree with you about not wanting it to look silly and promlike.
Here’s my hair. (Again, I did it myself so it wasn’t perfect, but I acutally liked that about it)

This is slightly off topic but I have naturally curly hair–mine is on the wavier side–and I recently tried deva curl hair products and they have made SUCH a difference in the appearance of my curls. Just wanted to throw that out there!

I love love love Deva products- I use their no-poo and it’s amazing. Anyway, we’re having a nautical/oceany wedding and these are my inspiration pics…

Hey ladies, my hair is naturally very curly – 3A I would say.
I’m not doing half up because I’m so worried about the humidity in Maui on my wedding; my hair is actually the thing stressing me out the most. I’m just worried it’s going to totally frizz. Anyways, here are the pics I’ve saved for inspiration. I’ll probaby go with something like this:
Here are some half up ones I saved before I decided not to go that route:
