Here are the curtains, rug, and furniture I was just eying up online last night...

Congratulations! I know everyone wants to get things rolling once they purchase, but what style you pick should depend on the style of furniture you have. What pieces do you have to furnish it in there?
You're lucky to have the radiator covers, as I lived with radiators in front of all my windows in my last house. It was always frustrating to decorate around them, and while the heat coming from them is great, it makes for some difficulty in figuring out what to do. What is pictured is sort of what I had (panels on the ends, with shades on the windows themselves. How much privacy do you want or need? What's your view out those windows?
Sheers let a lot of light into a room, but you can pretty much see through them at night. Will that bother you if you think your neighbors can see you? They also don't protect from any drafts if you have old windows.
I'd also get longer rods than you think you need and extend beyond the frames, so the panels will essentially flank the windows and go to the floor without draping as they have them.
Oops...I see you are looking at furniture. I wouldn't use sheers (especially lace)with what you've posted. Maybe something with some more substance. Will you be painting and changing the color?

I'd use something more like this. Check out the Outlet prices for some great deals too.
check out urban outfitters! Theirs are fun and they have lots of sheers. I have some in my bedroom and am really pleased with them.
You need some opacity there for sure. Just sheer won't do. Maybe two layers? One of them (inside) can be sheer.

Here's another source for some window treatment ideas you might be able to adapt.
Check out jcpenny for curtains. I was amazed at how many options they have, and very affordable!
thanks ladies! ill have to check out your links more.. the only reason i was thinking sheers was because i hate the way the heavier curtain has to drop around the radiatior cover, sheers would flow a little nicer.. there are also blinds for blocking out light or privacy if need be...
hmm guess i might have to see HOW sheer they are in person...

So, we are through attorney review and should be closing on our house in March! Of course, I am already starting to think furniture.. so we gave ourselves an initial budget and our wish list of what rooms we should do first.
The dining room has a bay window with custom radiator covers and I am not sure what to do with curtains... Pic is below (not our furniture obviously). We have Kate Spade china (also attached..) and I looove that pattern so I thought it would be kind of pretty to play off that pattern for the room.
What kind of curtains do I do?? I thought sheers might work because they are a little more flowy around that radiator...
