I went to David's Bridal and that's who I bought the dress from.
I ordered mine from a wedding dress designer. Simply because I'm so big that I was affraid to go attemt to try on a dress. My designer is located in NJ and is hands on throughout the whole process. You can make adjustments and even get it in another color if you want. Check out Wedding Dress Fantasy. Tova is the designer and if you don't see something you like, they will make you something from scratch. They have been a lifesaber for me because of my size. Good luck!
I went to a few different places, but Ventura's Bridal and Impression Bridal both had a really good selection of plus size samples. Now and Forever had the worst selection, and honestly, I didn't have a good experience there, aside from the limited selection. I ended up ordering my dress at Ventura's. I had a really great consultant. If you go to Ventura's, definitely try to book an appointment with Jessica. She's really sweet and really understood what I was looking for. Good luck!
I went to Alfred Angelo on Post Oak. There were tons to pick from and my consultant, Veronica, really knew what would look good. Totally recommend.
I haven't tried on too many dresses. I went to one shop on Harwin Dr that sells designer gowns and they had a great plus-size selection. I know they has atleast 40 or more plus-size dresses and the prices are reasonable.

I got mine from Ventura's Bridal. They have a large selection of dresses. However their customer service after you purchase sucks! But go there and try some on!

The Princess Bridal in Spring is incredible!!! Also Bella-Deur in West Houston is fabulous! Ask For Aisha... she's wonderful! I ended up with An Allure gown W271
