joyndez:  Can you post a picture of Kim K’s train so we know what we are comparing it to?

I actually think it looks great. the thing that I don’t like is that the illusion is so white and not more nude and the white line around the neckline that you can see.

Also, I tried on a lot of cathedral and chapel length veils and none of them were as wide as Kim K’s. So even custom ordered, I bet that’s really expensive, unless you have a seam down the middle.

joyndez:  On the veil width, I was replying to you saying the “- Veil needed to be wider”.  That’s the standard width of a cathedral veil is what I was saying.. so if you want it wider, it may need to have a seam, because I’m not sure even wider fabric is readily available.

The illusion on the bodice of your dress has a free “edge” while the one being made has seam. Also that illusion fabric is very sheer vs your dress being made. The sheerer the illusion ,the more expensive it is. A possible solution would be to get more appliqué put up against the edge to disguise It.  On the veil, I agree with joyndez that fabric only comes in a certain width, unless they weave it for you like I’m sure Kim K got.

Yea I agree w/ PP, adding appliques might be the best bet. Seeing as you are a darker skin tone, a more nude mesh probably would have been the better bet but I don’t know that she’d be willing to do that for you. I know JBS will upgrade the quality of the illusion mesh but from what I’ve seen it’s a little costly.

joyndez:  I found your thread while searching for posts on custom Etsy dresses. Now that it’s about a year later, I wonder how did all of this turn out for you? Were you happy with the end results? Any pics? Everything I’ve seen so far is gorgous <3
