Dolly Couture makes a BEAUTIFUL knee length gown with 3/4 sleeves. If you want a floor length gown, you could order it as a custom gown. I LOVE this dress!

Do a search for "modest wedding dresses." This appears to be wedding-speak for any dress that has sleeves, regardless of whether it is to satisfy religious requirements or just because you want to be more covered up.
Another option would be to use a bolero over a strapless/sleeveless wedding dress.
There are many dresses with sleeves available or you can always wear a gown with a bolero.

You could also purchase material and have sleeves added to a gown! I took my dress to a local store that did alterations and had sleeves added! ;-) Just fyi - I am a curvy girl too and the gowns I tried on just didn't give enough coverage in the neckline. So, I had the seamstress add the same material (used to make my sleeves) to the bust area - to tie the whole look together.
I absolutely love this dress:

It's a Justin Alexander.
I have a strapless dress. I bought a wrapor to wear over it.
Pronovias/San Patrick/La Sposa do some beautiful dresses with sleeves. Enzoani do some very stylish and unusual wraps. Maggie Sottero have a few with sleeves, too. Your biggest struggle won't be finding one with sleeves, it'll be finding one without any beads/lace/ruffles or other embellishment.
Be careful with "modest" bridal gowns - from what I've seen, they just add the same ugly short sleeves and mid-height neckline to all styles of gown. They could make a skinny 17-year-old look matronly.
There are beautiful dresses out there where the sleeves add to the look, not detract from it.
allure bridals have some good sleeved dresses and a line specifically made for bigger women...
@October4040: what style is this Justin Alexander number, I love... and am curvy too
Speaking of Dolly Couture, Mrs. Daschund used them for her dress, and she looked fabulous! You should check out her posts. :)
You can always find a strapless dress and wear a cardigan over it!
If cap sleeves will make you happy, I was told they can be added to any strapless dress. As far as real sleeves, I know how hard it is, while at DB, my mom asked the consultant if she could bring something with sleeves and she looked at my mom like seh was crazy. Aparently they only have sleeves on plus sized dresses! Some of the previously posted dresses with lace sleeves are georgeous!
Here is an Alfred Angelo with sleeves: style 825
I bought my gown from A.A. and they are great. They also have lots of sample dresses in plus sizes so you can try things on.
@cora123: Here it is:

I love lace sleeves! I think that the strapless designs are definitely a current style, but honestly not the most becoming on everyone... plus sized or not...
Will you go for a short dress or is that pushing it too far? Because I absolutely adore this dress and it has sleeves (on the jacket) and is about as unfussy yet fierce as it gets.
I did strapless and add a bolero. Here I am. I am selling mine if you are interested :)
holly cow...that is a big pic...sorry
I was just trying to give you a close up...hehe
I have been seriously drooling over this bolero. I keep telling myself I don't need it but I love it!!!!!

White Rose Red,
I absolutely love the fifth gown you posted. Who is the designer?
Ok I know this is a LDS Bride website but when I was contemplating sleeves I looked here and am definitely NOT LDS.... http://www.latterdaybride.com
Some of the sytles I thought you might enjoy based on your description are Milan, Blanche, and Riverside.
and I LOVE just about everything on this website... www.beautifullymodest.com
@Miss_Riley:i've never heard of the "modest wedding" site! i am in love! hahahaha so ironic that i'm gay and i'm loving these LDS modest dresses
Ok Ladies- I finally picked and it is NOTHING like I thought I would get, because I am short, my seamstress will be able to take the hem with the gold embroidery and make me a bolero/shrug jacket using the extra fabric as the neck and cuffs. What do you think ?
I know, it's not white, and its strapless...but I get a jacket and it fits really well. I went to intimacy's and got a strapless bra and the shock of my life. I am not a 36dd, but a 32G !
It's also a Carmen Marc Valvo dress that normally retails for $3300 and I got it for a song !
Wow, that is a really beautiful dress! Getting a matching bolero made sounds like a great idea!
@HapaBride: LOVE how your sleeve flows with ur dress!beautiful!search for this topic:http://boards.weddingbee.com/topic/need-to-cover-my-scarany-tips and advice if u think that sleeve will suit my dress?:)))thx!

Help ! I apparently want something impossible. A dress with sleeves. I am street size 12-14, five feet tall, and 36 DD. I am not a girly girl, no ruflles, beading, crystals, pearls, lace froofy stuff. I would NEVER wear a strapless gown, or even a tank top in my normal life (I have arm issues), and I really don't want to on a day when it's not my imagination, everyone IS looking at me ! Where can I find a simple elegant dress with sleeves that doesn't make me look like I'm auditioning for Big Love ?
