I don’t have one, but I did want to put in my 2 cents: I used to think I really wanted a princess, but I’ve fallen in love with cushion cuts.  the sharp corners of a princess are so severe, so I love the softer look of the cushion.  I’ve seen some settings that help cushions appear slightly more square-ish if that’s what you want.

also, I suggest buying two CZ rings and wearing them around the house.  you might decide which cut you prefer after staring at them in real life for a while.

@nerdybird:  So that’s the difference between the princess & cushion cuts?! For the life of my I couldn’t figure it out.

My friend got engaged recently & showed me a picture of her ring. It looks oval to me, but she’s got the halo. She says it’s cushion cut.

@beekiss:  the center stone is 1.25 and the ones on the band are graduating diamonds-they go from .08 to .20

I told FI very early on that when he was ready to go shopping for a ring that I wanted a cushion cut with a diamond band but to make sure the diamonds on the band were small bc I don’t want htem to distract from the main diamond!

Love cushion solitares!! Here’s mine – I’m a 5.5 ring size (although ring is sized closer to a 6), center is 1.51, TCW is 1.88.

Personally, I would go with a cushion cut. It just look so timeless and elegant and beautiful. I first wanted princess cut as well, but I did not like the super sharp edges of a princess cut.

I HIGHLY suggest you go to a ring store and just try on different styles and cuts. I didn’t try on enough rings when picking out my ering, and I ended up having to return my first ering because it was so poorly made and very cheap looking. My second ering, was a moissanite, and I absolutely LOVE IT. Ring size 3.5, center 2.2carat.

Mine is 1 carat but you won’t notice any difference between that or a 0.8-0.99. Uploaded from phone so I can’t edit it sorry, oh and I’m a size 5.5 in case you wanted to know.
