Hello! I’ve been seeing a lot of cushion cut center stones with double-prong settings. Is this neccessary for this shape of stone? Please post a picture of your cushion cut center stone and setting. A side view would be awesome! Thanks, girls!

Hello, I have a cushion halo with single prongs. I can tell you the double prong setting is not neccessary for the shape of the stone but I do find it beautiful. Personally, I believe it’s just to add to the aesthetic look of the ring. I need a better picture but I’m waiting for a 2nd proposal.

My stone is pretty small, so I don’t think it needed the double prongs. If you get a larger cushion, it might secure the rounded corners better! I have no idea though, because I’ve seen a lot of large stones with just the single prongs too! I don’t think it’s “necessary” but the double prongs might let your mind rest at ease better.
