An upgrade before your married? I’ve never heard of upgrading an engagement ring
also, this is what I would like my ring to look like without the halo, if I do decide to go without it
sorry if I am wrong, but I believe this ring belongs to MrsB on here
I recommend looking for someone to custom make something for you. I recently worked with an amazing couple on Etsy to custom make my engagement ring, they have a ring that I think is almost what you’re discribing, except the pave is all the way down, you’d just have to e-mail for a quote to change it. 🙂
Here’s the ring I was talking about.
They can customize it any way you’d like as well, smaller stones for the pave, or whatever you’d like. Also if you have your center stone they’ll mount it for you. 🙂
SerenadeDiamonds on Etsy.
@DJones69: it’s what my fiancé and I agreed to do after we got engaged since it wasn’t the exact one that I wanted and we couldn’t afford that one at the time. so really, whether you have “heard” of it or not isn’t important, I’m not trying to be “trendy” upgrading my ring lol
@iiiEllie: awesome, thank you so much!
i actually am looking for a ring that looks almost exactly as the first ring that I posted, only with 3 rows of pave going halfway down the band. actually, just like the picture you posted only combined with the top of the first picture that I posted!
@jMariie: All you have to do is send them the first picture and explain that. 🙂 You agree on price and all specs before anything is exchanged. Then once the price is agree’d on, and specs, you pay for it, then they’ll do full color computer renderings for you, for example, here is one of my renders :
Once we made a few changes to the render, we got a new one with the changes applied. Agreed on that, and the ring was made. Then approved the final ring, and it was shipped, whole process took two weeks. They was amazing to work with.
My ring is a cushion with 3 rows of micropave but no halo. I just adore it! And get so many compliments on the band. I think the 3 rows is just gorgeous! Can’t wait to see your upgrade!
@EmilyJoy: yes, that is the EXACT band that I want! does your pace go all the way down the band like a true 3 sided or is it 3/4 down the band? how many carots is your center? your ring is absolutely gorgeous! seeing yours makes me want mine so much more now! 🙂
@jMariie: thank you! It only goes down 3/4 of the band. I have to tell you, it’s sooooo comfortable!! I forget I’m wearing it sometimes! My center is 1.2 carats. Cushions are such a gorgeous shape no matter what you do you can’t go wrong!!
@iiiEllie: Awww thank you!!! Mine too!! I hardly ever see them in person, which makes me obess more about them online haha
@EmilyJoy: ahh that is just like I want mine! there’s no need for it to go all the way down especially when you won’t see it when it’s on or when you have your wedding band on with it! I know the difference in price between 1.2 and 1.5 differ quite a bit but visually you can hardly tell the difference! could you recommend any online retailers to order from?
I would work with a really competent vendor because pave is difficult to do correctly and is not going to be maintenance free and as easy to own as, say, a plain solitaire. As long as you’re well aware of that, I would go with someone like leon mege (that’s who did your inspiration pic with the pink halo), steven kirsch, victor canera, Brian Gavin, etc. Are you familiar with pricescope? That’s where I would head!
