I’m trying to get an idea of what size center stone I’m wanting. I’m loving right now, a cushion center stone, in a micropave cushion halo, with halo-ed trap side stones. Something like this:
I’ve already decided to go the Asha Diamond Simulant route (while I wait for the Amora Gem Cushion [F color, H&A cut]). I’ve been in to try on rings but most jewelers don’t have cushions on hand that are bigger than .5ct to try on! So if you have a cushion halo (doesn’t need the trap stones on the side) would you post a picture of your ring with these stats included?
1. Your ring size
2. The mm that your stone faces up (I’m not concerned with CT weight because the weight can differ based on how the stone is cut)
3. How many mm your halo adds to the size of the center stone.
I know this is a very specific request and I probably won’t get many responses but any contributions will help! Thanks in advance!

There a jeweler near you that sells loose cushions and empty settings? It sucks that it’s so hard to find cushions but that was our work around for a little bit. They’d just pop a larger stone into a “similar style” setting for us so we could at least get an idea of what we had in mind would look like. Sorry I don’t have any more info. Hopefully someone can offer you the stats you’re looking for.

super blurry bberry pic, but it’s good enough to judge size. ring size 5. Centre stone is 8mm and the halo adds 2mm on each side, so 12mm of finger coverage all together.

If we wanted a cushion from any of the local jewelers they had to special order them in from the bigger cities and even then the selection wasn’t spectacular to see. I know when Darling Husband was in Las Vegas he looked around a bit to look for set rings to compare while mine was being made and the only place he found was Tiffany’s (who was charging outrageous prices, I think for a slightly more inferior quality stone of the same size was 2-3.5x what Darling Husband paid at a gem and jewelry sale).
Mine’s not in a halo so I can’t really help you with that side of it.

Ok, here goes… My ring size is a seven, without a proper ruler my center stone is about 5-6mm’s (3/4 carat) with a 2mm halo and band around.
Hope that helps!

Ok, I can’t upload a pic from the iPad for some reason but I’ll add one a little later (If I don’t post know I’ll forget LOL). I have a round center equivalent to .46 cts which is about 5mm. I tried to measure my whole halo (which is cushion shaped) and it was between 6-7mm…I don’t have a ruler so was using an app on my phone so it may not be accurate. My ring size is a size 6. I’ve posted pics all over but like I said, I’ll post more from my computer in a little bit 🙂

My ring, I think, is a size 7. (We didn’t have it re-sized.) However, I probably should I maybe closer to a 6.
My sapphire is 6mm x 5.46 mm = about 1 ct.
The halo itself is about 2mm on each side so the whole halo is about 9 mm.
The triangles on the side add 5cm each. So the whole top of the ring is about 1.5 cm.

As promised, here she is 🙂

Mine is a 7.68mm round center, with the halo adding an additional 3mm and my finger size is 4.75.

I wear a size 5.25. My fiance wont tell me the size of my ring but I know my center stone is an authentic vintage cushion cut between 1.5 and 1.75. This ring is amazing, he designed it himself. Let me know what you think

Hi I am selling an asha cushion halo the band is too dainty for my taste. It is a pave band about 1.8 mm wide. It’s a popular style and I bought it for myself as a right hand ring not an e-ring. Selling brand new on sale for 610$ I just bought it 2 months ago off adhadiamonds.com for $685 and am past the 30 day return window because I left for vacation and then forgot to ask them for rma. It is 14 k white gold. I have small fingers size 3.75 but local jeweler can resize. Center is f/g color 6mm 1 ct. Message me if interested!

Size 5 finger. If you like it I can get the measurements for you. 🙂 I’m in love with my ring. We custome ordered it.
The centre is a 0.86 cushion cut diamond.

Any ladies have e-rings with thin halos that add less than 2mm all around? Photos?

@gromble: I just got mine on Saturday! It adds about 1mm to each side of the diamond. It’s very dainty. I can’t imagine anything smaller. And ahhh, I love it!!
