Hey everyone, what do you think of my DIY’s? I did the Martha Steward custom chalkboard in a nice chocolate color. I found some old doors at a yard sale and they will be the program at the ceremony, I’m going to prop them up against those chairs you see in the picture, and on the chair seats I’ll have jugs of water and cups.
The jars were first taped off, then etched with etching cream, and then I painted the chalkboard on it. I haven’t taken the painters tape off yet, so for reference, check out the bottom picture. Oh, and that’s only half of the jars I have to do! Yikes!

Dude, those are SUPER cute. Have you decided what your guests will use? Will you season for chalk or have them chalk paint? Adorbs, seriously.

Thanks everyone!! 😀 I just took all the tape off, and it was aaawwesoooome!
@WillyNilly: The next step is rubbing chalk all over to season for regular chalk. Though for my trial ones it seemed like an unnecessary step. Apparently you can’t use liquid chalk on homemade chalkboard because it doesn’t wash off. I’ll use liquid chalk on the things I want to be permanent, like the instructions and scoreboard outlines for the lawn games (those are on the chairs on the bottom right).
