I think this is where Mr. Socks got his suit from, and they were really happy with it.
Wow... definitely let me know when they come in! I would love for my FI to get one...
OMG! wow thanks for this link!!! let me know how they turn out!
Thanks for the link. Remember to tell the guys to put on their pants and jacket at the last minute though, and don't stit down until after the picture taking.
I love the rumpled, wrinkled look of linen but I'm thinking you might want your pictures taken first.
i will definitely post about it when it comes in, but i decided to order because of the other wedding website i am on - i found out about it there and TONS of brides were very happy with their suits and posted pics to see. so check out my other link above if you want to see all they have to say now.
@julies1949: the $99 suits are a cotton-linen blend that is more resistant to wrinkles than the pure linen!
We got FI's suit, and his GM's pants from StudioSuits!! LOVE LOVE LOVE them.
wow, $99 suits! great find! This might solve our problem with finding reasonably priced grey suits for our groomsmen - thanks :)
Thanks so much for sharing this link! This is exactly what we have been looking for! Please post pics and let us know how the suit turned out!
@ms.walter: funny you wrote today, we got the suit this morning! it arrived literally 13 days after we placed the order! i had to request the arrival date and it worked! the suit is really great quality material and exactly the color we wanted! i will have FI try it on tonight then will post pics! i am so excited!
We decided not to order b/c how close the wedding is..... I soooo don't want to be freaking about whether they'll be in in time or not.. lol
We are still going to be ordering, just not for the wedding.
Glad to hear you got yours! =)
@runsyellowlites: judging by how fast mine got here, i say you have plenty of time! i might wait a couple more weeks to order pants for the groomsmen!
well that's good to know.... we'll order for my FI going away suit.
I don't think the groomsmen would go for me changing things AGAIN though so they'll go with the rentals.... going for the day to get fitted is a chance for them to hang anyways. lol (i've really tried not to be a bridezilla lol)
Hm, I'm considering this so let me know how it goes! I would love to do it, but I feel like the logistics of everything is insane!!!!!! Ugh.
@kperry3: what do you mean the logistics is insane?? i placed the order online 13 days ago and the suit got delivered to my doorstep this morning! couldn't have been easier! and i am telling you, it is a high quality suit!
if you are referring to the measurements, i ordered a pre-set size. i was thrown off by all the measurements and FI knows his pant and jacket size, so we ordered those. he put the jacket on briefly this morning and said it felt right in the shoulders. the pants i am sure will fit since they are his size! with the preset sizes, the pants come unhemmed, so he just has to go to a seamstress and pay like $30 maybe to hem to his length. could not be simpler! i am so happy and relieved we got something nice for him to wear at such an amazing price!
i got pictures finally! FI tried on the suit and it fits great!!! i also LOVE the quality and color - it is PERFECT. i am soooo happy i listened to everyones good reviews on the bestdesintationwedding.com website and now i can 100% add my own awesome review!!!! totally and completely worth the price. we totally could not afford a brand new suit - or so i thought - so before finding studiosuits, i thought we would have to go the khaki pants route with no jacket. and i was kind of disappointed because i have such a fancy dress, so i really wanted FI to be comfortable AND be dressed up!! i envied all the pics i googled of men's attire for destination wedding and now my FI has his own! i am waaayy more thrilled than he is obviously, LOL. but he says its comfortable, fits good and he concurs that the suit is overall good quality.
we ordered the preset sizes for jacket and pants. so the pants came un-hemmed as it said they would, but no biggie, we can hem them for fairly cheap. i think the jacket is tad too long on his arms, but FI says its fine. but he said when he gets the pants hemmed, he will bring the jacket and see if they think they should do anything with it.
so without further adieu, here is my FI in his beige linen suit! the pants are a 32 regular (i folded them to the right length for the picture) and the jacket is a 42 regular. color is Beige Linen and i LOVE it!!! i chose the color based on a previous post on the other website's thread!
Oh and the shirt he is wearing and we think it goes well, so no need to spend money on a new shirt. The tie I bought from Dessy to match the color of the BM dresses.
haha, FI doesnt look too happy in the bottom two pics.....gushing over clothes and modelling is so not his thing! But he tried it on and let me take pics to please me, lol.
@PurpleUnicorn: The suit looks great!! Thanks so much for posting pics! We are seriously considering ordering from them!
@ms.walter: no problem! you totally buy from them! i think i will buy matching pants for the groomsmen as well.
Has anyone heard or seen reviews of their wool blend suits?? I have read so many reviews of the linen suits, but I am cosidering a black wool blend suit from here..
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Glad to see your order turned out good too!! They do such a fantastic job I am so happy with how our guys looked at the wedding!
Wow, that's awesome. I will have to go on there and order hubs some suits!!
@PurpleUnicorn: The logistics of getting all the men's correct measurements. It's almost impossible for my fiance to find a suit that fits him. And all the groomsmen are lazy and wait until the last minute to do anything. So the logistics of it stresses me out.
EDIT: Pre-set sizes don't really work for my fiance either. So, we'll see.
@kperry3: i was stressed with getting my FIs measurements! i was afraid we wouldn't do it right! so to solve this issue we ordered one of the pre-set sizes they offer. Like FI knows what size pants he wears and he has another suit so we checked the jacket size. they both fit great, he just needs to get the pants hemmed.
I think we're going with this option! Yay! My fiance wants linen suits with vests (so he can take off the jacket eventually. We'll just roll with the whole size/measurement thing. The suits will most likely end up costing $155... so if a tailor needs to adjust anything that is totally fine with us. FI wants his guys to buy the suits so they can have a an extra suit around :)
I have a few questions.
1. What type of linen did you FI buy?
2. If anyone bought vests, what color were they? There is no option, so I'm wondering if they are a certain color, or just the same color that you choose for the jacket.
3. What fit did your FI choose? I'm thinking just the normal comfort fit.. cause I don't know what the others styles look like.
4. Will vests look better with a one button jacket, or two buttons?
5. Should we order all the suits at one time, or is it ok that the guys just order them separately?
Maybe I should call StudioSuits.com and see what they think! Thanks SOOO very much for this great, and cheap option :)
Love the suits from this store online!!! they look great on everyone who has ordered them so far!!! i got the color beige linen and it was amazing!!! perfect tan color! i definitely recommend this company! :)
1. What type of linen did you FI buy?
--- the combined linen and cotten blend (ie. not pure irish linen) and the color is Beige linen.
2. If anyone bought vests, what color were they? There is no option, so I'm wondering if they are a certain color, or just the same color that you choose for the jacket.
---- we didn't buy a vest so i can't say. i would think to buy the same color? or maybe one of your wedding colors? not sure honestly, sorry!
3. What fit did your FI choose? I'm thinking just the normal comfort fit.. cause I don't know what the others styles look like.
--- since we got a pre-set size, we didn't have a choice of fit. But at one point i was considering doing the measurements, so then i would have went with the classic comfort fit. i figured it was safe.
4. Will vests look better with a one button jacket, or two buttons?
--- Again, i don't know anything about vests, so can't help you there! try looking at pics online of any guy in any suit and see what is more common, maybe?
5. Should we order all the suits at one time, or is it ok that the guys just order them separately?
--- i like to save money and so i think it would be cheaper to order tham all together? although we only have one other groomsmen and didn't order his suit yet, i had wanted to see how this one turned out.
