I’m crazy I think…I had to make things so difficult by making my dress become a custom made gown.
It’s a Casablanca with the combination of two dresses. The color will be a champagne color and the bottom will incorporate lace with organza ruffles. I know, it seems like that style is everywhere now, but I plan on accessorizing the final look to become “my dress”. I will add a sash that has feathers or some type of embellishment. The lace has pearls, Swarovski crystal beading throughout so it’s actually really sparkly in person. I took the silhouette of 1995 and added the ruffle style of 2096. The train is longer and it will have hook and eye buttons all the way down the back. I’ll post pictures when it comes in.

@cpmh: Your not crazy at all- that is one gorgeous va-va-voom dress! I did the same thing- Combined the top of one dress with the bottom of another and added in a few custom details like a low V-back. I LOVED my dress so much and the process of planning, revising, trying it on, revising some more, it was all so much fun to see my vision come together from literally a drawing on paper like yours to the finished product.
Here’s my custom beauty:

@BeckyS0: STUNNING! Love the color you added (my b-maid gowns are going to be an Italian Plum) Thank you for the encouragement too. It’s been a bit stressful and some second guessing my decision making. I agree though, having a vision and starting from scratch to see it finally come to life will make it all worth it. I did the same with my ring, started with a drawing I created…
You look fabulous in your photos. Thank you for sharing.

@cmph I can’t wait to see your dress when it comes in! I’m ordering the Casablanca 2096 but changing the top cut to a modified sweetheart so it will be sort of similar to yours!

@MrsSkeletonKey: Thank You
Do you like it? I want to make an entire collection
of dresses like my linen dress. Do you think future
brides will like it? What price should I ask for them?

@Milutsa: How cool 🙂 I used to live in Israel.
I really like the shape of the dress; it’s very form fitting.
I would try to experiment with different more luxe fabrics though, as I think the market would be better for them.
I really have no idea what someone should charge, or what someone would be willing to pay for that sort of dress, so I’m no help there..
Ya know, I think that dress would definitely sell at maybe a renaissance festival.
