Hi Bees! I just ordered my dress online on Etsy. I live in Philadelphia, and my dress is alll the way across the country in San Fransico. Of course, I’m getting “Oh I wouldn’t order a dress online. What if it doesn’t fit?”. I would be lying if I said that I wasnt nervous. My dress designer has been a dream to work with . I gave her my measurements, and she said that she will make ajustments if needed for free. Please show me your online ordered gowns!

My best friend designed and made my dress from across the country. I adored it. The only problem was that at my last fitting, I was a little bit heavier than I was at the wedding, so it didn’t fit quite as well at the waist as I would have preferred. And since the dress was so intricate, there was no way to take the whole thing apart and sew it back together in time.

My dress was custom ordered from a bridal salon in Chicago. It is a Rivini gown with the Rosalie top and Tahlia skirt. My second fitting is on Thursday, can’t wait to put her on again!
These pics from my first fitting so ignore the pins, I’m thinking of adding more crinoline under the skirt to make it poof out a bit more, what do you think??

Wow that dress is gorgeous!!! The bottom looks poofy but I think adding a bit more poof wouldn’t hurt! It’s so luxurious-looking, I imagine you could get away with any sort of dramatic-ness anywhere on the dress. I love it!!

@oneovakind: Oh, thank you, that’s so kind. 🙂 Even though the fit wasn’t absolutely perfect day of, I still really loved it.
@lalalalauren: GOREGOUS!!!! I love it, you look amazing.

@honie309: Thank you! Yes that’s exactly what I was thinking! It doesn’t feel super poofy on and I want the bodice to be tighter fitting then a really wow skirt!
@mightywombat: Thank you!! I will post more photos when it fits better!

I custom ordered my dress from a small bridal salon. I wasn’t able to try on the original as it was way below any size that could even potentially fit on my body. I ordered it with a full A-line skirt and with a built up top and fully lined sleeves. After that I still had to get a few more alterations done but it pretty much came ready.

Here is my ebay replica (totally worth it, in my book!):

These customs are amazing! I never thought that I would order a custom dress. I went to three bridal salons including Davids bridal twice. I just couldn’t find anything. I can laugh about it now but I totally wanted to cry after leaving Davids bridal. It just didn’t feel right.
