I guess there aren't any!
I am madly in love with the designer I found in Indiana, anyway. I was just wondering if I had any local options, but I guess not. I was nervous at first to buy my dress online but I think it's going to work out perfectly. Here is a link to her Etsy store, by the way: CiCiBridal.etsy.com
Connie is her name, she's really nice and answered my eight hundred questions, haha. If you're looking for something really custom, she's fantastic. I'm putting a deposit down this Friday, wish me luck!
Hey - I got a card from http://www.siradpion.com/ who works out of the Sheraton Mart in Miami. It seems like she does a nice job & I asked her at the bridal show how much a mermaid gown in nice tafetta fabric would cost with a few details and she said about 700 - which I guess is decent. Also in Coral Gables there's a lady on Miracle Mile named Josie - she works in one of the stores by Houston's restaurant.
If you just need alterations, PM me. I have someone who works from home & is presently working on my dress. :)
Have you tried contacting the Fashion school? Maybe a teacher there or an advanced student? (maybe that would be too risky) With all the quinces and what not that goes on here- there has to be some great seamstresses here- I know some of those older ladies are incredibly skilled....
There was a lady on south beach...who had a little dress shop on Washington Ave....called something closet.... she did wedding dresses- but more vintagee-y. I'll put on my thinking cap and maybe look tomorrow on my lunch break.

I just can't find any! I am absolutely in love with the gown designer I found online, but I wanted to check one last time to see if anyone can recommend a custom gown designer here in South Florida. I just have not found ANYONE willing to work from my sketches/photos of dresses I like.
