Last year i went as sookie stackhouse and he went as bill πŸ˜‰

the year before that we did Mr. and Mrs. Smith, the scene when they are fighting in their house…

Here’s an idea for couples where the guy doesn’t like to dress up:

You make a costume to look like a brick:

He wears normal casual clothes.(He’s a bricklayer)

We are going as a desperate housewife and a milkman. I saw the idea on MSN.com yesterday. All he needs is a hat and some milk bottles and I will be wearing a dress, apron, and carrying a spatula πŸ™‚

Ball and Chain is always pretty easy.  You can even go super cheap and just draw them on some plain white t-shirts.

We went last year as Mario and Princess Peach – we basically used clothes we had around the house (but we did purchase overalls for Mr. HC) and a few princess-y accessories for me.

We went as John and Kate plus 8 last year…except I was John and he was Kate (it worked because of our coloring). We each had a belt with little plastic baby dolls attached (bought at dollar store).

This year we’re thinking we may do Meg and Peter Griffin from Family Guy.

Since I’m a media whore, you could probably do Jersey Shore personalities pretty easily.

This year we are probably going as Curious George & the Man in the Yellow Hat! My crafting sewing skills will certainly come in handy!

I have a tall FH (REALLY tall!) and I always wanted to go as the Jolly Green Giant and Little Sprout.

I have always wanted to be Monica and Chandler from Friends, not super sure how to make the point obvious but I love the show.

My SO isn’t really in to Halloween AT ALL, so my BFF/MOH and I have decided to leave the menfolk at home and go out without them.  We’re dressing up in couples’ costumes…sort of.  I’m going as Freddy Kreuger and she’s going as Jason from Friday the 13th.  Freddy vs. Jason!  Should be awesome!!!  Next year we’re going as Mario and Luigi.  πŸ™‚

I DESPERATELY wanted us to go as Sookie and Eric from True Blood! But FI refused to be Eric. πŸ™ That may or may not have something to do with my pinching his little biceps and telling him he’d need some bigger guns to be a believable Eric. Whoops!

Last Halloween my friend and her boyfriend dressed up as Thing 1 and Thing 2 from Dr. Suess. That was pretty awesome.

FI and I are also going as Katy Perry and Russel Brand!  FI is still wishy washy about the whole situation, but with a little liquid courage and some friends to egg him on, i don’t see why he wouldn’t!

I love the topic of Halloween!  Mr. Coffee (he’s so awesome) started a thread on this subject and unfortunately not too many bees posted pics which I was really hoping to see lots of.  Anyways, hopefully this one will be more succsessful!  Here is a pic of me and my DH last year!  This might not be considered on the “cute” side but it was “fun”….I was the mangled lil Red Riding Hood & he was the Big Bad Wolf.
