Yesterday, we got a call from Daycare that DS was running a fever. DH left work early to pick him up. When I got home a short time later, DH had DS stripped down to his diaper on the couch, and had a bowl of cool water next to him with a towel. As I walk in the door, I hear DH say to DS “ok Little Man, time to put your cool cape on again. Every super hero needs a cape!” and I watched as he draped the cool towel over DS’s back and then stroked his head.
It was so sweet and tender I almost melted on the spot. I am the luckiest girl in the whole world!
Has your DH done any Daddy thing to make you melt lately?

Aww, that’s so sweet!!!
Maybe mine won’t count as a Daddy moment… but it definitely left me with those tingles about what a good Daddy he will be! My nephew came to visit us recently and would NOT go down for a nap for anyone. FI came into the room, pulled up Frozen songs on his phone to sing to my nephew while rubbing his belly, two minutes later- out like a light! FI looked so proud of himself and goes, “I win!”

DH gives DD a bath before bed every night, and “bathtime with Daddy” is now a treasured tradition! Singing is usually involved, especially the old favorite song “it’s bathtime with Daddy and it’s so much fun! We’re scrubbing your belly and we’re scrubbing your bum!” DD loves it!

ExcitedScaredBee: Awww so sweet!
When I got home from work sometime last week, I must have snuck in quietly because DH didn’t hear me come in. I walked into DD’s room and DH was holding her, dancing through the room, and singing Paul Simon’s “Father and Daughter.” I melted.

I have two children with my ex. My FI doesn’t have any. He has taken to my two as if they were his own. I’m so lucky. While its not a daddy moment, my DD said the cutest thing the other day. She asked me who was going to teach her to drive. I told her I don’t have the paitence so it would probably be my FI. She said “oh no! he’s going to cry when I get my license..he will say oh my little girl is growing up too fast, he won’t let me go anywhere!” That made me melt. I love how close they have become.
