My adorable almost-four year old niece will be our flower girl and she is SO excited. We don’t catch up with my brother & sister-in-law and the kids as often as we’d like but I remember when we were last there a couple of months ago (Christmas = manic and they’ve been away) my SIL said that she’d been asking nonstop if she was going to be a flower girl TODAY and was really disappointed when they said no.
Today we finally caught up with them for a post-Christmas celebration, and my brother said that she’d been up at 3am, he’d put her back to bed. Next thing he knew she was back in their room asking if it was finally the day she got to be a flower girl 😉 (he’d told her that she’d be seeing “Uncle” Chris and I today) !!!!!! She is so. darn. excited. I’m wondering if she might even be a pinch more excited than FH and I 😉
I’m just hoping she doesn’t get so excited on the day she gets totally hyperactive & burns out 😛 haha. SIL has decided to get my almost-two year old nephew (they’re two years two days apart) a suit and we can decide on the night whether he’s going to play pageboy or not 🙂 (SIL is as excited about buying him an ittie bittie suit as my niece is about being a flower girl! lol)

@goingtotherooftopoflove: That’s so cute! Our flower girl (who is 3 and Catholic) looked up at our church’s cross, saw Jesus wasn’t on it, and shouted “Mommy! There’s no GOD here!” At the rehearsal!
Flowergirls are awesome.

@goingtotherooftopoflove: so cute!!
i actually went out today to shop for a flower girl dress and my 7 year old niece was SO excited to pick out her flower girl dress. She said she wanted one just like my dress.
kids are seriously the cutest things.

@goingtotherooftopoflove: What a little sweetheart! That’s so cute.
I remember being similarly excited to be a flower girl for my aunt & uncles wedding when I was about 5. Unfortunately on the day of my shoes hurt during the long stretch of formal photos and I frowned in all the pictures. What a little brat!
Ha ha, it’s kind of funny in hindsight. Kids arent’ predictable, but they are memorable 😀
Totally wish I could have had little ones at my wedding, but unfortuantely the timing was off and we don’t have any kids in the group yet.

@goingtotherooftopoflove: I’d have to say pretty much exactly like that. I had the flower crown and everything…
I didn’t do the hands but it was a seriously agressive frown. The whole family still laughs about it when they look back at those wedding photos. I remember my aunt’s brother trying to bribe me to smile by saying he’ll take me for a ride in his porche. 20 year old guys really don’t know what a 5 year old wants!
