I’m really excited about my RSVP idea….I’ve seen the idea probably here on WB and on other wedding sites and made my own version….
I initially made one that was the same size as the invite, but then realized that may not work….
and figured that guests may be more apt to fill out the Mad Lib section if they have an envelope to return the RSVP vs. sending it via postcard style (which is what I wanted to do initially before finding the Madlib idea…)
What do you think?
It seems my file won’t upload..err..
anyway the idea is that 1 side of the RSVP has the guests fill out whether they will attend or not and meal choice and on the bottom asks them to flip over to fill out Mad Lib section….then on the other side is a Mad Lib style section that mentions whether guests are attending or not, they still want to say….(and they then fill out the Madlib). The bottom of this side of the paper also mentions to please flip over and fill out the RSVP.
I am hoping this way the guests will know to fill out both sides…
Anyway…thoughts on my idea?

A mad lib RSVP sounds like fun. It would set the tone for a fun wedding.

It’s a cute idea! It sounds fun, but my only concern is that … as there are numerous threads on not getting back many RSVP’s at all… that people will see more “work” involved and not send it back.

Thanks for the comments.
As for having guests see it as ‘work’…yeah that’s what my FI mentioned too….
Though to show a better example of what I have…see what I typed below. The rsvp part is first…then the madlib part. (the words are actually underneath the blank lines on the RSVP itself, but for my purposes in this post, I’ve put the word in the blank line to save space. 🙂 ) Let me know what you think. Thanks!! —>

In marriage, ensure that you always ____verb_____ ! Make sure to give one another ___noun____ and never ___verb______. Remember to tell each other ___advice_______ every day and never go to bed without __advice._______

Perhaps you can shorten the Mad Libs section. Too many advices.
