I just started charting a few weeks ago and much to my surprise my reproductive system actually seems to be working! Its pretty neat. Anyway, I got my period just now (literally 10 minutes ago) and I was wondering if I should count cycle day one as today or tomorrow seeing how there’s about 20 minutes left for Thursday. It’s not spotting anymore, its real red flow. I thought I’d add that since it would be a likely question. Thanks in advance for any knowledge!

I used to round it to the next whole day if it was super close but note the time and actual day I started.

I always did the opposite and used CD1 as the first day no matter when it started. As long as you are consistent I think it’s fine either way.

Thank you for your replies! But what if the day my period comes does not correspond with the temp drop? Is that ok? In other words, my temperature yesterday morning was 97.3 and then I got my period at 11:40pm. Then this morning my temperature is back up to 97.9 (I should also add that I began using a new thermometer this morning). So, the arrival of my period did not correspond with the temperature drop and I’m worried then that I am setting my cycles to be too long and that might confuse me when trying to determine other things.
