My mother and I were talking engagement/ wedding stuff. I have my hopes up that my BF will propose soon. My mom mentioned that during my last engagement 5 years ago, my dad wanted to sing at my wedding. WAIT WHAT?? I was totally caught off guard! I’m a daddy’s girl and I was planning on doing the father-daughter dance to “Butterfly Kisses.” My mom said my dad wanted to sing to me at the wedding instead. Granted I have never heard my dad sing. EVER! I didn’t know how to take it
Would you let your dad sing to you at your wedding?

I would… what do you have to lose 🙂 He might not be great but its still sweet. OR he’ll blow you away.

I would but my Dad has sang and played piano in a band for over 30 years so I know that he would do an great job. I wanted him to play the piano to the song we danced to as Daughter and Father. Just record it and play it over the sound system at the event but the Band we hired didn’t go for that. But that’s okay.

If he has his heart set on singing to his little girl at your wedding, I wouldn’t turn him down. He might just surprise you. I would definitely say it would be fine. 🙂

My dad actually will be singing at my wedding (“All I Ask of You” from Phantom), but he sings professionally at weddings and church events and such and actually performed this song at my godmother’s wedding, so I’m not worried (except that he might get choked up)
I’d be flattered and talk to him about it! It’s a very sweet gesture
