Awe that is horrible!!!!!!
Fortunately I don't believe in superstition so I think it is a weird coincidence and he will be fine for your wedding!!!!!!
*HUGS*
my superstition is what happens twice happens three times.... so the pacemaker is the 3rd which means he should be fine for your wedding :)
positive thoughts for dads surgery and your wedding!
Wow that is freaky! Hope your dad has a swift and uncomplicated recovery!
well thank goodness he is alive and makes it through each time; god bless!

Ok so a little back ground. My Dad has this bizarre trend of always ending up in the hospital before a wedding in the family.
When my sister got married in 2003 he ended up needing his galblatter removed a week before the wedding.
When my brother got married in 2005 he ended up needing bowel surgery, it was originally scheduled for the day before the wedding, but the doctor was kind enough to postpone it till the monday after so dad could be there for my brother.
Now, we are two weeks away from my sisters second wedding, and my dad is in the hospital, he will be having a pacemaker put in sometime next week. Doctor's say he will be well enough by the wedding to walk my sister down the aisle, but this trend is very disturbing.
I have to admit, this makes me anxious about my wedding, I don't think my dad can handle anymore major health issues. The trend has become a bit of an inside joke for my family, though it is scary there's not much we can do about it so we find a way to laugh. It's so much of a joke yesterday while we were at the hospital my dad joked "this is all your sister's fault" so even he is able to find some humor in this situation.
