i love love love my ring!!!! i wouldn't ever want anything different. when we go into a jewelry store i always kinda just look around at all the different rings and im so happy to find out that i have never ever found a different ring that i would ever want over my ring!!!! to me my ring is the ultimate ring and i would never want anything different on my finger!!!!
Yours is stunning!! Here is mine, I love mine too, we found it in the first store we looked, but continued to look at like 10 more stores just in case, but nothing we saw was as perfect so we drove 2 hours back to the store where we found "the one" :-D
my hand is really small (sz 4.25), so i never wanted anything big(this already looks huge)..instead, we were able to buy an AWESOME quality diamond :) my boss likes to say i need to buy sunglasses for the office because its so sparkly.
I apologize that this is a smidge out of focus! I never got around to taking better pictures because, well, I'm way too busy!
Anyway, I have small but fat fingers (seriously, they're kind of, er, stubby) that are a size 4.5, and our jeweler, who is my FSIL's FIL, recommended a one stone ring because anything else would have wrapped around. I love my ring!

I have small fingers and little hands so a big honkin' diamond would look gaudy and horrible on me. We went with my great-grandmother's heirloom stone (which is I think .85 carats or something like that) with small side stones and a split shank engraved band. These pics kind of suck btw because I can't seem to get a good ring shot.
It depends on what you call dainty! I love my ring but I'm not sure I'd consider it "dainty" ;)
Mine is a .25 in the centre, with another 0.25 on each side with the small stones, and then .07 of a carat in the channel-set stones down the sides. I have tiny fingers (4.75) and tiny hands, so anything larger would look ridiculous.

Is it just me, or all these rings rather large? And gorgeous :)
@littleaudrey- I think of dainty referring more to the setting, like a thin band or intricate scroll work, not necessarily the size of the diamond...
I like to think mine is dainty :)

I think my setting is quite dainty... and I love the way it looks on my size 4 finger. I can't imagine wearing a huge/elaborate setting on my little finger.
@trailmix, mine looks similar (but not exactly the same) to yours! :)

trailmix
our rings are almost exactly the same! except mine has 3 little stones on each side...
=D
love it
do any of you know what type of wedding band youre getting yet? i'm getting a very very thin diamond 1/2 eternity band..it's only 1.8mm thick! i originally thought about getting one on each side, but it looked too bulky on my hand and i knew i wouldn't wear the 2nd band. guess i'll be having a dainty wedding band too! :)
I believe mine is dainty! Definition: delicate, small, and pretty! I have posted this before, but it's so fun to post on these threads!

I'm not getting a band for mine, the one that is made for it, just through the symetricalism of it off, so I opted for no band. I lov eit just the way it is :-D
My hands are tiny, so I was so glad he thought about it and went with a really thin band :)
Love all these rings, ladies! I've been married for 6 months (and it's been 2 1/2 years since we got engaged!) and I still never tire of checking out pretty sparklers.
I adore my ring, and adore that my cute husband took his little college kid self shopping for rings all by himself and picked out the most perfect ring for me:
@Sulli301 I know, right? Makes me hungry! :) Took it last summer on some cupcakes we got from one of our cake tastings! Ah, cake tastings...maybe the thing I miss most about wedding planning...well, that and trying on gorgeous dresses!
I've posted this before - but I'd love to again. I have very short but chubby fingers, so I wanted a really slim band.
@Gill - I love that it isn't traditional, it's very pretty :-)
thanks kirsty! love yours too - square cut is the best :)
Star, that is so cute! I love to think of my FI pouring over the example pics I gave him and then finanlly finding the ring he bought. He said he knew it when he saw it that it was mine. So cute bc he didn't know anything about jewelry and I didn't help much, just said I liked colored dimaonds.
Gorgeous rings ladies! My fingers are quite short and stubby too so they recommended a solitaire engagement ring with a narrow band:
I have tiny hands and skinny fingers I'm a size 4.5 but wear a 5 because my knuckles are larger (shouldn't have cracked them :-S). I picked my ring out and I love everything about it, its perfect size for my hand.

My fingers are long and thin and my e-ring looks SO perfect on them :). FI made the best choice!

@Miss I - that is such a different ring, I love it, I've never seen one like it :-)
@esrockhold - That is so pretty how the blue plays of the diamonds, looks like the type that is even more beautiful in person when you can see how the light plays off it huh?
way to go dainty rings!
i have quite thick fingers, so anything i went with was gonna look smal in comparison!
plus i bash my hands around a lot, so anything big was gonna take some thumping!
i love my ring!

These are all beautiful! I think finger shape and size does effect what rings we chose. I had imagined wearing an intricate halo, but when I tried it on, it seemed weird on my finger. I was disappointed, but then when I tried on a solitaire with a super thin band, I fell in love.
Here's a question for all the dainty ladies: what do you plan on doing for a wedding band? I like the thin band look of my ering and am probably going to wear my solitaire on my right hand and a thin floral band on my left. I think thick rings look weird on my fingers. What are your plans?
Oh wow Kroegerk, your ring looks a lot like mine! What are the stats of your stone? And is it platinum or white gold? =]
its white gold
1.01 carat
near colorless (l)
clarity : SI(2)
thats awesome :)
All of these rings are fantastic! I have posted mine before but just like everyone else, I am always happy to show off my ring!
I couldn't love it any more than I do!!! I love how thin the band is.
Here's mine! It's a Tacori. I also have very small hands, so I needed a ring that wouldn't overwhelm them. It's .62 carat.
MARJOJO.............. i posted my pic in the beginning and mine is also a tacori... don't you just love your ring? i love the detail they have and i love the signature diamond that they put at the bottom of all there rings.
Here is mine. Ring size is 4.5, so I knew I wanted a thinner band. Sorry for the poor picture quality, I took these pics with my cell phone.
