I've seen lots of threads about meet-ups in other cities, and I thought it would be really fun to have one in good old DFW. Are any of you interested?
@GreenEyedMoon: I would love to! I actually came over here to ask the exact same thing and saw your post! With as big as DFW is there have GOT to be alot of brides on here.

So, I guess, the question is when people want to do it. Also, what do we want to do? And is anyone else interested?
I'm interested! What part of DFW is everyone located in? I'm in north dallas/plano area.
Another Dallas bride! Live in West Plano, work in the Addison area.
Addison might actually be a pretty good place for a meetup. Restaurant row is over there, after all.
What sorts of activities did you girls have in mind?
Are waiting bees allowed? If so, add one more! Addison has a ton of fun options. Some possibilities: Go Fish (great happy hr, small bar area), Houlihan's (lots of selection, good drinks), El Fenix/Blue Mesa/Gloria's/Blue Goose (if you love the tex-mex!), or oh yeah, pretty much any other restaurant in the world you can think of is within a 5 minute radius. And if you creep down into Dallas...oh, the possibilities!
Waiting bees are totally allowed... I'm still one of them.
So. A few people have mentioned Addison now. Is that good for everyone? It sounds like a really central location.
Addison is fine with me!! I can't wait to hear about all of your weddings :)
R.Elliott, when are you available? How about the rest of you girls? Bueller?
I know we're probably all quite busy with the holidays right now, so maybe it would be best to wait until January. I can do December, but it might be easier for the rest of you...
So far, R.Elliott, pinkpaperbride, dallasag, Cheeks11, kfricke89, and I have expressed interest. Can all of you confirm or deny your interest please? Other brides/waiting girls/newlyweds are welcome, of course.
Also, do any of you have ideas for what to do or where to go?

I'm a Tex-Mex girl but down for whatever. Houlihan's is also nice and they have deeelicious drinks.
Sorry, I've been crazy busy so haven't been able to get on here much. January would probably work best for me too. I also love tex-mex, but then again, I love food in general. I'm easy to please. The Addison area sounds good.
I'm interested, and anytime after the holidays is fine. If the consensus is tex-mex in Addison, I vote for Gloria's, Blue Goose or Uncle Julio's! Parking and seating at the first 2 places would be kind of tough if it's on a weekend. Cyclone Anaya's might be cool also. What day of the week are you ladies thinking?
P.S. I learned this weekend that there's also a Taco Diner (MAMBO TAXI, anyone?) on Beltline now. It's possible that I eat out too much. 
Oooh, I'm a fan of Gloria's. Gloria's in Addison in January would be great.
Maybe a weekend would be the best option. Would everyone be agreeable to a Friday or Saturday evening?
Also, I just remembered that there's a few bridal shows in the DFW area in January. Perhaps we could meet at one of those and then head to dinner. Thoughts?

I think I could do either...I can't remember for sure because my brain has turned to mush. Wedding planning is kind of hard? Or something. Does Gloria's take reservations? I suspect Friday will be crowded! But I'm sure they will make room for some lovely bees 
Now we are a week away from the 14th...should we go ahead and shoot for the 28th and that way we can spend the rest of the month making sure we get the word out to as many Bees as possible? Think this thread will reach enough people?

There's also the Dallas Bridal Show that weekend so after we all meet on Friday maybe we can spend some time together at the show as well for those who are attending that.
If you are able to attend the Bee Meetup at Gloria's on the 28th, please RSVP here or on Miss Elephant's post and then I can call and see if we can get a table reserved for that night.

OMG! OMG! OMG! OMG! There's finally going to be a DFW bee meet up??? EEEEP! I'll talk to the hubby and see if we have something planned that day, if not - ME! ME! ME! ME!
I just found out that Gloria's does not take reservations. So we may have a bit of a wait time for our meetup!
Hopefully we can just mingle at the bar or wherever while we are waiting. Is that okay for you ladies?
I might be able to swing that day...although I am a Ft Worth Bee.
