The old red courthouse was booked up on my date and brookside center in Hurst. Try Palais Royale thats were im having my wedding ( www.palaisroyaleevents.com )
Due to procrastination I let brookside center book up .If any one is having a wedding after Dec 29,2012 dont sleep on Brookside center in Hurst tx.
The reason why I chose Palais Royal is because they had everything I was looking for.Its 9000 sqft ,chapel, bride and grooms room, lounge area for cocktail ,bar if your serving alcohol, reception area is beautiful with stage for dj,they provide all table and chairs with chair covers included and centerpieces ,etc. What I really like is that her package includes set up and clean up.hth

Ok girls, I've narrowed down the list for my reception venue and want to know if anyone has had any experience with them. I haven't visited all of them yet but will be in the next couple weeks. (Also if you have pics, please share!)
-Special Day Events: FutureGulick helped me out a lot, but then I found out that it was sold in December to the same guy who owns CN Catering so some of the policies have changed a bit.
-2616 Commerce
-The Pads (at Aloft Dallas Downtown)
-Arboretum (Rosine Hall, specifically): This one is a little farther from the ceremony site, but I've always loved the thought of having my wedding there so I can't take it off the list yet.
-Lakewood Theatre: I'm intrigued by the different set-up of this place but trying to decide if its worth checking out in person. (I'm super busy right now so I don't want to visit unless it's really worth it)
-Biblical Arts Center: I'm in the process of getting all the rental info from them. It just reopened last year after a fire in 2005 so I haven't had much luck finding pictures.
I'm looking for something besides your standard hotel ballroom. I want the place to have some character on its own. I was also interested in Old Red Courthouse and Hickory Street Annex but they were already booked for my date.
So what does everyone think?
