@Eire_Bride_2014:  Hi there – Dallyn is the dress I chose and it arrived last week, a lot earlier than I expected. Like you, I didn’t initially want a strapless dress but I loved the layers and the sparkle. It’s just such a pretty dress! I haven’t got a photo yet because it needs taking in at the top (which I won’t have done for a while) and taking up (I’m 5ft3) but I will post a picture when I’ve had the adjustments made. I actually didn’t particularly like the look of the dress on the hanger but thought I’d give it a try – and I fell in love with it as soon as I put it on! I think it’s really romantic and feminine and, like you say, a bit different. I don’t think the picture on the model does it justice. I really hope you go for it – please let me know as you will be the first dress twin I’ve found!

@Eire_Bride_2014:  Oh wow, thank you for posting the pictures. You look amazing in it! I’m so excited about this dress! Did you decide to order it in the end? And will you go for the blush coloured sash (that’s what I chose)? I wasn’t told they did a petite length, which I’m a bit annoyed about as I’m having to have it taken up.

I know what you mean about being nervous about ordering. My dress is so big on top that it’s hard to imagine what it’s going to look like and I’m just hoping and hoping that the seamstress will make it look right – not too tight, not too loose. It’s the only thing I’m a bit nervous about in regard to the wedding. But I’ve seen lots of before and after pictures on the Bee of different wedding dresses that have been taken in, and I think that a good seamstress should have no problem doing it. I guess that’s what we get for being pioneers in buying a brand new design!!

@Eire_Bride_2014:  I’m going to have my hair half up, half down, with a shoulder length veil. I’ve just bought a veil, actually and need to try it on with dress to see if it works. I think I might have some sort of pretty hairslide on one side but I haven’t bought one yet. What kind of wedding are you having? We are going for a kind of country style with lots of spring flowers. Really, really hope we have a nice April next year!

We have the same taste! I went to try on the Lara, which did not look as good on me as it does on the 6 ft beauty in the magazines. I fell in LOVE with the Dallyn and am pretty sure I am going to order it soon. I also wish there were more photos of it on real brides online.

I tried it on again with a friend last weekend and here are some photos, which are not that great, but it’s still helpful to see it on other shapes, etc. I am only 5’4″ and size 4, so my only worry is that the vertical tiers make me look even shorter. I didn’t think they did in front of the mirror, but I think the photos appear that way a bit. But I also know when the dress is in my correct size and length, the appearance will be much better.

Also, I chose the belt/sash that goes with the Lara dress instead of the one that is usually worn with Dallyn. I thought it was a nice look.

Let me know what you think. I am ready to order, but I am also nervous!

@Eire_Bride_2014:  thank you! I ended up going with a different dress with No tiers, but I’m having a hard time getting over Dallyn. I want to keep checking back to see the photos when you girls get yours. You will look stunning… That dress is soo beautiful.
