I know it happens but I am getting so frustrated!! So one of my friends never recieved her invite I sent out invites at the end of Aug. Now I am missing RSVPs that people sware they sent out weeks ago. I called my grandpa and he was like I sent that 2.5 weeks ago I accepted for 3. So then I find out through my friend that her parents never got their invite either. UGH Just needed to vent a little thanks for listening.

Just a note. I know this happens. I know that there is nothing you can do and that it isnt intentional, but that doenst make it less frustrating. :)

ahhhh this is happening to me!!! I had two separate friends send theirs out Sept 14th and I did not get them until the last day in September. I also had FH Grandma try and send it back and it said our address did not exist. I was so frustrated I called the post office four times to complain and ask if there was any way I could figure out why this is happening. It makes me wonder who did not get an invite and whose RSVP I did not receive. I realize, like you said, that this happens but its SO beyond frustrating.

yeah, that's when you just have to call them and tell them you assume the best (eg, the post office lost the invite or rsvp, rather than them being negligent rsvp-ers--much more likely!)

Ok, now I'm getting nervous. Is the IL USPS having problems? 46% of our guests have not replied. I asked for them by October 28, but I think I should have gotten more back by now. I'm already starting to send emails to people I haven't heard from so I can make sure they have hotel reservations.

I made my RSVP date yesterday so the late comers wont be to late to add for the venue ( they need to know 2 weeks before) But the people that I was like "mom call these people" Or MOH can you talk to these 3 I havent heard anything alot of they hadnt recieved their invite or sent out their rsvp and we didnt get it lol. Im sure these things will turn up but who knows.

@Bao: Im sorry you are going through this as well!!!

@OnTheTwelfth: Just ask your family and his to help figure out whats going on with their sides of the family. Im hoping for you and I both that some people are waiting last minute!

@CupCakeMeg:I wish I could track too, because I totally would!! No doubt in my mind. Snail mail scares me you always here of things getting lost in the mail. I never do anythng by that bills and all that are done automatically or done online bc I refuse to mail payments.

I am having this problem.  I am kicking myself for choosing the beautiful black sparkly envelopes I did.  My stuff is either A. getting lost or B. taking fooooooorever to come.  I am waiting on several rsvp's that were sent back weeks ago but haven't gotten to me yet.  ugh stupid usps!!

@CupCakeMeg: The best advice I have is put your RSVP date well before you need it. My venue wants final numbers two weeks before so I set my date for a month before in case of slow mail, forgetful people, basically anything. That way the late comers hopefull wont really be late (for the venue count.) I hope you have better luck than I do lol

@princessbelle: I feel your pain for sure!! It sucks. As your date gets closer make sure to call people that you havent heard from for all you know they may not have recieved their invites, or sent their RSVP and you didnt get it. I am so scared that people are sending their responses and Im not getting them and showing up to the wedding unexpected to FI and I. Not having enough seats and tables etc that is my biggest fear!!
