You should be okay. I bet your site has held weddings with dance floors before. When the ground is uneven you 'skim' the bottom of the dance floor with wood pieces to make it level. A professional installer should have no problems.
We built our own dance floor on gravelly grass and even we could figure it out!
I went to a wedding where the dance floor was not installed well at all in the tent. A noticeable pitch toward the center and it keep getting wet. People were slipping and the Bride and Groom scraped their first dance. Make sure they level it somehow, I'm sure it can be done.
I would think that the company that you are renting the dance floor from would be able to install it safely. I'm sure they have to, in order to avoid liability issues from guests getting injured.

I'm getting married at a historic site in NC- Brunswick Town. We are putting a huge tent on the grounds for the reception. The ground is grass and sand and fairly uneven...If I rent a dancefloor, are they able to even it out on an uneven ground so that it's safe to dance on? Let me know what other people have done in this situation and if it works out well. Thanks!!
