I can understand you not wanting to rent a dance floor when you already have a hard surface for people to dance on, but I think it might be easier for people (both their feet and shoes) if you went ahead with the wood dance floor. 

Here is Distinctive Event Rentals, they have a 12X12 outdoor use floor for $216:

A 12X12 dance floor will fit about 30 guests comfortably and not every one will be dancing at once.  I wouldn’t go any bigger unless you think more people will dancing at one time.

If the brick is even with no cracks for your heels or anyone else’s to get stuck in, I think it is fine. Otherwise, a dance floor may be needed.
