I found the perfect venue for my wedding next summer. It’s a retreat center by a beautiful lake. The only glitch is that the dining area is a bit too small for 90 guests, so we’re thinking of setting up a tent and putting tables outside to eat. However, because of noise concerns, the owners asked us to have the party/dancing inside in the dining room, which is on the ground floor. Will this totally kill the wedding vibe? Would love to hear especially from people who have done this. Thanks in advance!
Other things to note:
-We can have ambient music playing during dinner outside until 11pm, but because it’s a lake, the noise travels and he doesn’t want to disrupt the neighbors.
-We’re having a relaxed ‘weekend getaway” style wedding for 70-90 people who will be traveling far to get here. Except for this, the venue is perfect because it accomodates all the overnight guests, has a lake, a pool, and other fun things to do.
