I agree the contrast is pretty, and the photo you posted is a good example of that.

To each her own, but I personally would go with pale/nude nails on the wedding day so that the focus would be on the ring rather than the nails… then save the dark nails for everyday, later on.

I love it! I would consider doing an accent nail to break it all up possibly, but in the fall or winter, I think this is truly lovely!

I love this idea and think it’ll look great! I would just make sure it didn’t clash with my bouquet colors.

LOVE this. I’m not an alternative/goth bride by any stretch of the imagination, but I just love the contrast of dark, chic nails against traditional bridal elements like lace, tulle etc. So beautiful.

I haven’t decide whether I’ll do dark nails yet, but I’m leaning towards a very pale grey mani with dark pedi.

@justjade:  Yes, especially if it’s a color from the season (ex.: I would see this for fall or winter).

I did a super dark purple. Then again, I also work black shoes and a black shrug. So I wan’t exactly going for a “traditional” bridal look.

I’m having “oxblood” color nails (or at least I plan to) for my wedding since I usually always wear some shade of red anyway.  I’m also having a winter wedding (and my dress is champagne, not white).  I also want some of the flowers to be oxblood (and my lips) since I think it will go well with my color scheme (black/champagne/silver/white) and my venue is in a GIANT ballroom (and the stage has an oxblood color curtain, the rest is ivory/gold/etc (all in all very “dramatic”).  I love how dark nails look in certain situations, for example some women just look better with lighter colors vs bolder colors so I wouldn’t recommend anyone “try anything new” for their wedding if that makes sense.  Or if someone is having a pink themed wedding (or a summery and flowy outdoors wedding in a garden in June or on a tropical beach) I don’t know if dark nails would really go with the overall “look” of the day.  Plus my FI HATES “nude” or “french” nails, he thinks they look very “housewife”-y (I do not feel this way nor to I mean to offend anyone with nude or french nails, I still wear them even though FI hates them haha).
