I voted ”maybe…but” because I used to be gothic for years, so in that point of view, I find it a bit too much Halloween-ish and not that much dark-romantic or gothic-glam. I think to achieve the look you are looking for, it must be a bit more subtle than the obvious vampire-dentures things and skulls and spiders everywhere : that don’t really represent the gothic aesthetics that much (and especially not the romantic one). But that’s just me and my taste. I think you’ve got a good idea, but it needs some reaserches to make it more your own. 🙂

I wouldn’t do this for my wedding but I love Halloween so for the look you are going for I think you’re spot on! 🙂

@laura.batty:  I think you have some great ideas but I can’t tell if you want the Halloween look or the dark romance look. If it’s the dark romance look I have more inspiration pics. I can’t pull this off for my wedding but I love it!!

@laura.batty:   “I know there is a possibility of going over baord and the decor becoming tacky. I do hope we find a balance between the ideas that Pinterest has given me and what is realistic and not too costumey.

I’m glad you said this, because it was just what I was going to comment on. I think you could have a beautiful, non-traditional, ‘dark romance’ wedding, however, things like the spiders, skulls and vampire teeth are, IMO not romantic, classy or appropriate for a wedding.

I agree with other that dark romance can be absolutely beautiful & amazing, but the ideas you are presenting to us seem a little more costume-like, & not suble enough.

I like some of the ideas posed by PP’s.
