I would say either of the October dates, if you want daylight shots. It’ll be dark a lot earlier in November, and probably a little cooler. But you know – You never know with Atlanta weather! It could be 50 degrees or 80 in Oct/Nov!

I think it depends a bit on the “look” you want.  October might have more fall colors/leaves than November…but with our climate you never know.  I think it tends to be more rainy in November as well.  Talk to your photographer and their opinion on best times, etc.  I know ours was really helpful in our date/time decision.

I agree w/GGSB that we have our leaves here get that fall color usually in october, but by this month’s end, since we have barely even had summer temperatures this year, they might begin to change even earlier.

How flexible is your photog?  I think fall colors around a fire pit would be a fabulous pic!  How about going up to stone mountain for pics?  That’d be not too far and give some of that amazing fall colors?

I can’t wait to see your pictures! We’ll probably do some engagement pictures in Atlanta too (duel city families and all) and I’ve been thinking about places to do it! Oh, Atlanta, I hear you calling.

and you’ll be shocked how fast it will go (especially if you are having fun with it).

I worried about the same things….b/c well honestly the boy and I just aren’t very photo friendly.  One of us always looks goofy.  But I was amazed at the number of really good shots we had (at least 75).  I took 2 changes of clothing, but then didn’t use them b/c we never went to “location #2”.  That is my one regret that I didn’t change at least once.

My suggestion is just have fun with it.  Losen up and have fun.  The absolute best shot we had taken wasn’t intended as a “shot”.  We were just goofing off and our photographer caught it.  And don’t be afraid of things your photographer might suggest that seem “odd”.  For example ours had us to sit in big mess of ivy on the side of a building and it was literally poking me in the rear.  He had to lay on the sidewalk to get the shot he wanted in between cars going by.  We thought he’d lost it….but it was the photo we used for our wedding announcement in our local paper.

3 hours I think, but it seemed like maybe 45 minutes.

Satisfied and REALLY thirsty 🙂

I could have gotten a beverage and then done more, but hubs was D.O.N.E.  We did the Marietta square and surrounding streets so we were constantly walking, so I think stopping for a beer or ice cream would been a good choice mid-way through…plus could have been fun shots as well.
