So I just watched Date Night (Movie with Tina Fey and Steve Carrell) It was a pretty funny movie but the whole time I was watching I was like Oh man I do not want to become that couple! The more I thought about it the scarier the thought got, I know me and my FI have our boring moments and sometimes we fall into a rut but as soon as we notice it we try and do something about it. Anyway did anyone watch that movie and feel the anxiety creep in? Or is anyone just scared to lose that spark in the relationship and “not be sexy” anymore?

I haven’t seen the movie but read a preview on it. Funny enough, my mom was giving me a “relationship” talk about this yesterday. She kept telling me to not fall into a “routine” with my FI and to try and keep this exciting for each other.
I am not too worried about it right now. I am thinking a couple years down the line it might be a problem…but by then we’ll probably have kids so there would always be something new.
It seem you are already changing things up when you notice being in a rut and that’s probably the best you could do.
