amy102:  Schubach’s! LOVE my ring, they made it just how I asked them to. And Beth and Joe were awesome to work with. I’ve heard great things about Klass, too!

Schubach is awesome! Top-notch for moissy!

Never bought a stone from DK. I generally purchase stones and send them to him to set in one of his awesome creations.

We didn’t purchase mine from either but if I buy another it will very likely be from Schubach.  You might find a lot more information on the forums over at betterthandiamonds.com.

We chose to go with David Klass because we had a very detailed, intricate design in mind and really felt confident he’d be the one to pull it off.  He delivered and then some!  FI said his outfit was a dream to work with and that they were timely, communication was constant and changes were executed and produced almost immediately.

We’re beyond thrilled with the finished product and I’m considering having my wedding band made by him also if I don’t find something local I’d like instead.

I love David klass. Totally recommend him, but I don’t think he gets moissy. He will source diamonds though. He’s made several beautiful rings for me. in my experience, he prices out a bit lower than Schubachs, but Schubachs will source a beautiful Moissy, so it depends on what you want. They’re both great. Good luck.

There are gallery’s for shubachs’s and klass on btd. I’m working with klass right now, it seems to me they are of equal quality and craftsmenship. I got quoates from both and he was way cheaper, he’s super nice and stands behind his work.

We are probably going with moissanite.co, I checked out Schubachs but for what I wanted their custome prices killed our budget where as moissyco had something close enough in stock. But I hear Beth from Schubachs will hand pick you an AMAZING stone if you ask her.

I have looked into both for an upgrade; I haven’t done work with either of them yet but I did initiate conversations with each of them.  I know everyone I’ve seen on the Bee has had nothing but good things to say about Shubach’s and Beth in particular, but I actually did not have such a great experience.  Her communication to me was rather rude and short in her answers, and she would take a while to respond.  She actually told me in our last communication that she was going on vacation for a week and a half, so if I decided to go with them that I would “just have to wait”.  And that was the extent of her email.  Needless to say, I didn’t do much waiting as I was not impressed with the customer service.  I contacted David Klass for preliminary info and he has been nothing but professional, friendly, prompt and detailed in his answers.  I’ll definately be going with him.

Also, Beth would not provide me a quote.  She said it would be “somewhere from $2700 on up” – which was more expensive than the original ring I was wanting duplicated which was platinum, and I needed it in white gold so it doesn’t damage my wedding bands. (The reasonn I’m having it custom made) David Klass has given me an exact figure of $1250 for the exact same ring INCLUDING setting my diamond in it.

He bought my ring from moissaniteco and had a great experience with them. Prior to getting engaged I emailed them with a few questions and they were always very helpful. Just as an FYI, they can make some minor changes to any of their rings, such as lowering the head where the stone sits, adding diamond side stones, etc.

Schubach’s all the way.  I’ve pretty much tried every vendor on God’s green earth (and then some!) and been disappointed time and again.  There are a lot of people out there with whom people have great experiences, but I tend to be someone that weighs ALL the feedback.  There were two places I really couldn’t find bad things about, and they were absolute class acts online.  I chose to get my most recent pieces all from Schubach’s and I’ve been blown away every. single. time.  I have found, time and again, that if you cut corners you may get lucky.  But if you want quality, you pay for it, and then you never regret it.

Mine is from Schubach’s. The quality still blows me away. Their communication was prompt, detailed, and believe me, we had A LOT of e-mails/phone calls during the design of my ring. They delivered and then some!

I’ve heard DK does equally great work and his quotes are usually lower. I think both are great options for custom designs.

My ering was from Moissanite Jewelry Shop and my wedding band is from Moissanite Co. Both places had excellent customer service and speedy shipping.

ArmyWifey8.23:  Interesting! Beth is the one that told me not to get the band made that I wanted because the stones would chip and break in a shared prong band. I was DEVISTATED.
