I purchased my dress today at David’s Bridal and I’m absolutely in complete love with it. It was WAY out of my price range (which wasn’t very much to begin with) but I couldn’t say no to it. I’ve never felt prettier in another dress or any outfit at all for that matter lol. It’s just so flattering. Enough about that… I have an appointment with their seamstress on Thursday, and I’m wondering if anybody knows about how much they’d charge me to take the bust in about an inch? I’m hoping they won’t charge me an arm and a leg, but the whole store IS way over priced.

@mrsbanuelostobe: when i purchased my dress they gave me a paper with how much a bustle would cost, and the fees assosicated with it.
my advice to you, do not go to DB. go else where. when i purchased my dress they quoted me at over 300 dollars. my coworkers recommended me to a lady they had their gowns altered in, and it cost me 55 dollars, which included 3 fittings. this lady also took my dress from a plus size dress to a regular size 8.

Yeah they quoted me lower, but then when I got my dress altered, they charged twice as much. I’d see someone else.

DB’s own staff told me to get my alterations done somewhere else.
